Collins Healthcare Education, Inc. was established in 1995 and has been offering educational programs to activity professionals and national and state associations for over 15 years.
The main focus is to provide quality education for activity professionals in meeting the recreational component of each client being served in the senior healthcare industry including adult day care centers, independent retirement communities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, hospital-based long term care units and specialized memory care units.

Services
In order to get NCCAP national certification as an Activity Director you must complete both Parts I & II of the MEPAP 2nd Edition. Beginning 1/1/12 NCCAP requires anyone applying for ADC or higher certification to take and pass a national examination. All MEPAP courses are taught via videoconferencing.
Continuing education seminars are offered for professionals to obtain continuing education hours to renew their certification. However, anyone can attend a seminar. All seminars will award 8 hours of education (unless otherwise stated.) All registered participants will receive information related to the videoconferencing platform being used and how to sign in.
The following additional services are also provided by Collins Healthcare Education, Inc.: Activity/Recreation Consultation - Providing consultation to facilities to evaluate activity/recreation programming and make recommendations. Chart audits for completeness of documentation. Training of activity and facility staff related to activities/recreation concerns and needs.
