Plum Animal Hospital has been well-established in the Plum Borough area for over 30 years. Dr. Leonard Jones acquired the small animal practice in 1999. Our practical and modern facility allows us to provide you with many different aspects of veterinary medicine. Annual health exams, preventative care and vaccinations are available during scheduled office visits.
Our dentistry services are an important part of maintaining your animal's health. At our hospital, we have an in-house laboratory and radiology equipment to make diagnosing health concerns possible. If treatment is necessary, we maintain a large pharmacy containing medications for most conditions. There is a dedicated surgical suite in which we perform sterile surgical procedures while using modern technology to monitor your pets vital signs.

Services
For your pet's protection, all dogs must be leashed and under control while on the premises. If it is necessary, we would be happy to provide a restraint device for use during your visit. Visits to the office for veterinary services should be scheduled prior to your arrival with a pet. As a courtesy to other patients, please call in advance if you are unable to keep an appointment, or will be late.
We are a busy, small animal general practice. We are not an emergency hospital. If you have an emergency during our hours of operation, please call our office. Depending upon our assessment of your situation, we will determine whether it is in the best interest of your pet to transport to our hospital or proceed directly to one of the local veterinary emergency hospitals that we recommend.

This was our first trip to this veterinary practice. First impressions are it's very clean and organized. It's a nice place. Dr. Jones is knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything very well. Our cat has a complicated condition and he knows much about it and helped us to understand the importance of her medication and what we can do to get her treatment just right. Easy to speak with. The staff were also excellent. Prompt and courteous. Plum Animal Hospital was a good experience and we'll continue to go there.

My family has been going to Plum Animal Hospital for all of our pets for more than 30 years. I think the staff is great and i have always appreciated them. However recently my elderly dog became ill and they were unable to get us in for an emergency 😪. I was very upset and had to take Romeo to Avets where he ultimately had to be put down. I would recommend Plum Animal hospital for routine care, but don't count on them in an emergency. At this point i am very undecided if i would return there in the future.

All I can say is I will never even entertain going anywhere else . Dr. Jones is phenomenal! To keep it simple he is thorough , methodical and caring !! He always takes baby steps and makes suggestions thinking about the animal first and your pocketbook is a close 2nd . He will NOT try to strike fear into you like emergency rooms and make you think it is necessary to run multiple tests and run up huge bills . He will go one small step at a time and he is usually correct with his first step . I have had Atleast 3 dogs under his care and on several occasions he has called me personally to check in

Wonderful place, they really care about our pets. When we had to put away two of our pet at separate times, they always go beyond to make sure our experience there as smooth as it could be. It was very difficult but I will always remember how they cared for our furry family members and made sure our pets are looked after.
