I had to give a holding deposit when I applied for a department and before I knew if my application was approved or how much the move-in deposit would be. I was advised that if I cancelled my application, that my holding deposit would be refunded in 3-5 business days. It has now been 6 business days and I have still not received my holding deposit. It just doesn't make sense to me to be required to pay a holding deposit before your application is even approved. It is not fair that you are given a timeline of when you would receive your refund and when this timeline passes, you are simply told to

We moved out over a month ago and we are still waiting for our deposit. I have tried to call several times only to get a recorded message which then hangs up. After four attempts we gave up. The lodge was kind to answer our calls as long as we paid our rent. Now after three years of paid rent, the lodge won’t even take our call.
