What is Title Insurance? Title insurance is an agreement which obligates a title insurer to indemnify a property owner against loss or damage arising out of defects in title to real property. Defects in title include liens or encumbrances on property or other matters affecting title to property or the right of a property owner to use or enjoy his or her property.

I'll have to disagree with the previous review - it may be that you need to find another company for an all online closing; however, I found their COVID protocol sufficient.
Masks were required (and provided when I stupidly forgot mine), hand sanitizer was provided at entry to the building and the office, we weren't there at the same time as the other party. We only saw and interacted with one person and our Realtor - masked and reasonably distanced for passing papers. This is a quiet office and a quiet office building - there just aren't a lot of opportunities for close contact. I felt very safe

Michelle Gulley at Monument helped us with a deed update to add my domestic partner. Her pricing was affordable and service was prompt and professional. A few years back, Monument did our home settlement and that was smooth also. I regret not using Monument for our refinance as the experience I had elsewhere was horrible! Definitely recommend Monument.

These people don’t care about Covid! They have no measures in place for protecting you. Find someone else to finalize your closing. These morons insisted on me having to come to the office for my closing. I refused and will be doing business with another title company and recommend you do too! Covid non-believers are killing our country !

Couldn't have been happier with the closing process with Monument. From pre-closing to the actual document signing, all the employees were wonderful to work with. Fantastic communication and very reasonable fees, comparatively, as well as a very convenient location (with parking). When it came to the actual signing day, everything was prepared and awaiting signature. I would highly recommend Monument Title Company.

One of the most pleasant parts of the home buying process. When all of the T's had to be crossed, and the I's dotted, they were available, helpful, friendly, and accomodating. The represetnative was courteous and helpful, as well as willing to explain some parts of the HUD, CLOSING, or other general process we weren't familiar with. Would highly recommend, although I have no experience with any other title company.
