A restaurant week winner for me and my girlfriend. Awesome steak and red wine selection, professional and friendly staff, large windows with view of downtown.

Dined at this location Saturday January 22nd with a party of ten for KC restaurant week and a birthday. We all enjoyed the experience. Great atmosphere and service. The food was excellent. The restaurant week menu had a few good choices. Beef and mushroom empanada for appetizer, shrimp and lobster bisque soup, pork chops, and cheese cake for dessert. The table bread was good also and came with three different dipping sauces. Extensive wine menu was a plus.

Love this place and certainly did enjoy our server we've had many times. He's on top of his game!! Best server we've ever had... and we are not young anymore! His name is Tyler". We will be back for the food, but also, having a server with Tyler's knowledge and personality... That's as good as they come!

We have started a new holiday tradition of kicking off the festivities with a fancy dinner. I am always reserved to bring all four children to nicer places, but try to warn the establishment beforehand that we are coming and reserve for an early dinner.
5pm on the dot we sat in the best table of the whole restaurant and watched the sun go down. That view alone makes this place special, but when you add in the exceptional service and AMAZING food, it makes it stand above the rest.

We came to Piropos for our 10 year anniversary dinner on the recommendation from a friend. The service was good and the food was good. It wasn't great and it wasn't just Ok, but good. The food quality was good and everything tasted good. Nothing blew our minds except of the bill. $205 for 2 people w/ 1 appetizer and 2 cocktails each. Price to experience was a smidge out of balance of the KC area IMO.

This place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I came for a date night. The wine list is a nice size as is the menu. We chose to begin with the chicken empanada and caprese empanadas both served with chimichurri. They were delightful. The chicken was filled with onions and bell peppers and is very well seasoned. The caprese was what you would expect but still very good. We then ordered the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer. The scallops were tender and succulent. Our evening here was not that enjoyable. We was seated in a nice place with partial window view of the lights. Dimmed lighting, candlelight on tables so what should of been romantic. You can make of any atmosphere to be what you want. Regardless of trying our best a pompous teenager belonging to apparently a very wealthy family over ruled. Undertones, disgusting mouth, obnoxious, LOUD. Our waiter wasn't much better. How ever we felt he was still tipped accordingly to our bill. I would comment on the food but it was hard to enjoy. I got the blackened Mahi Mahi, my wife got the fillet. Both were amazingly delightful. It's been sometime since the last time I was here and we had a great night. We sat in a booth near the bar, and it was never loud. Great environment.

My friend was eager to try this place out, and I'm glad she suggested it. So, I know it's an Argentinian steakhouse and I should have probably ordered steak but I saw pork chops on the menu, and I really like pork chops.

Let me tell you about these pork chops... Damn! They were good. It was a prefect combination of savory and sweet. We came here for our 10 year anniversary after recommendations from friends. Honestly, I don't really get the hype. It was an average steak experience, small portions, that cost a phenomenal price.

A bottle of Malbec, and house made chips drizzled with gargonzola ... perfect for a fall evening.

Great server but slow service.. to be expected b/c I'm sure they're short staffed like every where else. But food & drinks were great. Hubby enjoyed his birthday dinner.

Great chef made food. Great view. I've eaten next to the owners who keep an eye on the menu quality. Great service. Great drinks from the bar. I've ordered take out several times...Covid... The food is great. Good view of downtown.

I ordered the Halibut but the scallops were the star of this dish. Possibly the best scallops I've ever had in a restaurant. The empanadas looked plain but the meaty mixture inside was surprisingly delicious. The staff were excellent too. One of the best KC dinning options.

Always a delight to visit Piropos. It's our favorite special occasion date night place. The empanadas are phenomenal. I've never had a flavor I didn't like! The food is always fresh and beautifully presented. Wine perfectly chilled and dessert a spectacle. Truly one of my favorite places in KC.

Awesome experience!! I had the chicken meal and the lamb racks.. And for desert we had the banana cake and creme brûlé.. just beautiful and smooth.. staff was great.. the environment was phenomenal and welcoming.. will be back again soon!!

I have been to Piropos a couple times. The first time was several years ago and it was a really great experience. Very nice ambiance, food was upscale and really well done, it was quiet and everyone was dressed nicely (appropriately) for the type of restaurant that it is.

I came here again a few months ago to celebrate my beau's birthday. I was assuming the experience would be similar to my first one with great atmosphere and an upscale dining experience. Unfortunately I was mistaken.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the exterior and the walk up to the hostess stand is really beautiful

Great dining experience overall and would go back again Had a nice window seat overlooking the downtown. The restaurant has a really nice ambient and the banana foster was really yummy and strongly recommended. The ribeye steak was good but not cooked as authentic Argentine way though. The seafood(trout with shrimp and scallops) was ok, nothing too special about it but the small portion of the rice under the grilled trout was so fragrant.

Loved everything about our dinner here. My sister and I shared 3 empanadas and they were all delicous. We choose the chicken, onion and cheese and the caprese. Also had the calamari - perfectly cooked with 2 yummy sauces. Then we split the 8 oz filet. For $7 they split it in the kitchen and give each person their own sides. We both chose the green beans and au gratin potatoes. Last we finished with banana cake. Loved the food, the view of kc skyline, the tableside visit from the owners. It was all magnificent.

We ate at Piropos on a quiet Tuesday night. Our server was very knowledgeable, polite, and pretty attentive; the atmosphere a mix of couples, families, and small groups present. We started with apps of crab cakes, which were amazing, and Ensalada de la Casa. Man, was I disappointed in that salad, because I expected a burst of sweet and savory. The lettuce was a bit wilty, and looked very economical. At the main course, we had steaks, which were greatly under cooked. Our server graciously offered to take it back, but we declined. The good thing about an under cook steak if you can finish cooking

Katherine was wonderful with the service and recommendations on what to try. A beautiful view of the city skyline and the romantic and intimate atmosphere is perfect for a date night.

My husband had the special. They were out of the ribeye so they replaced it with the fillet. He was happy with his meal even though he was not able to enjoy his favorite cut of meat. It was a little bit small for the amount of food. I don't think it was $60 worthy.

They offer many gluten free options which is lovely. Actually most of their menu is gluten free so that was a nice surprise.

The decor was elegant, the safety measures where perfect, and the service was just as exceptional as the food!
Will be going back, and will always ask for "Justin"! He was knowledgeable, kind, and added great courtesy to the evening.
Added touch that the owner was available, and took time to come speak with and laugh with the guests. Mr. Ward, thanks for a great night and many blessings to you and that amazing wife!!!!

Went here tonight and it was great!!
Bread is yummy and we got the empanadas for an appetizer. We ordered chicken, beef, shrimp, and the ham and cheese. All 4 were so good!! Could of had those as my meal!! I got this stuffed chicken. It was stuffed with spinach and mushrooms, very good. The rice and the peppers and such were really good too. Paired nicely.
For dessert we had the banana cake and the chocolate mousse. Both were good! It was hard to choose! They have like 12 desserts!!!
