P2P began it's statewide Impact Awards to recognize individuals working in schools and communities to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. Our Navigator Project, in collaboration with the agencies of the Parent Leadership Coalition, was recognized as a Project of National Significance by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities.
The agency was awarded a 5-year Family Support 360 grant to provide intensive services to targeted families across the state. Parent to Parent of Georgia collaborated with Easter Seals in its Champions for Children initiative to provide financial relief to families denied the Katie Beckett Waiver. A new look for the agency was unveiled, with an updated logo, new outreach materials, and a website re-design.

Services
The staff at Parent to Parent offers families individualized support and information from staff with personal experience caring and advocating for a child with a disability or special healthcare need. When you call us you will be connected to a regional coordinator who lives in your area and has knowledge of the special education and healthcare process.
Parents who are raising a child with disabilities or special healthcare needs often feel overwhelmed, helpless and alone. Looking back, many parents say what helped them the most was talking to another parent. Do you have experiences you could share with other parents?
After completing the training, you will receive a certificate acknowledging the completion of your training and our Supporting Parent Manual and will be matched with parents who are seeking support!

I called to ask some questions, for a paper about the requirements of special needs children. The Representative was rude, kept hanging up on me. When I would call, she would purposely not say anything just to see if it was me. I thought I actually dialed the wrong number, until I googled it. IT WAS THE SAME NUMBER!!! Very unprofessional Parent 2 Parent!
