A funeral or memorial is a customary way to recognize death and its finality. Funerals are held for the living to show respect for the dead and to help survivors begin the grief process. They also give mourners a chance to share stories, create memories, fulfill religious beliefs & customs, participate in a support system, and gather at a peaceful place during a time of confusion and uncertainty.
Holding a funeral or memorial service for your loved one is a positive first step in the grieving process. Family members and friends get a chance to say their goodbyes, and at the same time, they get to share strong feelings with one another. In the days, weeks and months following the service, people continue to need others to lean on for understanding, encouragement and guidance.
The Department of Veterans' Affairs provides information on memorial benefits, health services, life insurance programs and more. The Social Security Administration allows survivors to report the death of the loved. The site also provides information on potential benefits that can be claimed by the survivors.

To the dedicated owner and staff of Christian Funeral Directors,
I wanted to say ‘thank you’ for the wonderful care you put into every single part of the difficult experience of planning our mother’s funeral. You were so accommodating with handling all of our details concerning the arrangements for her service which was two and half hours away in Mississippi. Every single staff member, we encountered held out a hand of compassion, helped us find a room, a chair, a bottle of water, a restroom, or whatever else we needed at the time. I cannot thank the owner, Mr. Laron Jackson, enough for

Mr. Jackson served my family in our time need. From the first moment I walked in the doors of Christian Funeral Directors’ funeral home, I was instantly impressed with the building, decor, casket selection, the professionalism of the staff, and the dedication of the owner to provide our love one with the service he deserved for his Homegoing. Mr. Jackson explained the different services he could offer and made sure we were very knowledgeable with the information and contract. He was patient, kind, and supportive throughout the process from the beginning to end. Mr. Jackson made such an extremely

This place is awful....DO NOT USE THEM!!! They keep dead body’s in the back garage/room behind where they have service in unconditioned spaces just like common trash. The casket we picked out for our loved one was changed to some ugly tan looking box at the funeral. They cut his hair after we told them not to. He was a member of the armed forces and they didn’t even file the paperwork to have a representative of his breach to serve or drape the flag over his casket. Laron Jackson says he’s a veteran and likes to give Christian services but the way he treats service men and women that have

First off , on behalf of my family and I, We would like to thank La Marcus(Christian Funeral Directors) for the outstanding service and support that he showed us during the passing of our love one. He aided us in planning and also offered other services which made our planning very easy. I highly recommend this company. Everyone is so nice and caring. They don't have enough stars on this page to give.
Thank you so much

My family recently lay to rest a love one with this business. The whole ordeal was not pleasant. They were rude and very snappy over the phone. They would not give us any current or up-to-date information about the funeral. In addition to their rudeness they not only rushed the services but they also rushed the family to get in their car. And they did not give the family a 2nd viewing of my love one before immediately escorting the family out of the church. My out of town family whom arrived slightly late did not get a chance to view my love one.
