These folks are up front about necessary treatments, prices, options, and what to realistically expect. They also help us keep our pups vaccinated and in overall good health.
Update: when the time came to avoid suffering (because of cancer) for one of our sweet pups, they were very sensitive and kind. They also made an exception to allow my husband and me to be in the room at the time. I can't express how much that meant. They explained what would happen, and enabled a peaceful, painless transition. These are good folks.

I will never take my little dog back to this place. I never meet the vet, they came out and wanted to do all this testing, but yet I never was able to see or talk to the Vet. No one is allowed inside and it has nothing to do with Covid. They have their lobby closed! So you have to hand you dog to them outside and they take them in with out you. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

My pets have been patients for several years, but the front desk reception has been disappointing. 1) Pre-2020, I came in and was told as a walk-in I would have to wait. Except, I wasn't a walk in. I had called days before to make an appointment. 2) Another time, I was met with "don't you remember cancelling your appointment." I hadn't and the response was rather argumentative. Then the attendant realized someone's dog with a similar name had cancelled. 3) My last visit, I sat for nearly an hour in blazing Summer heat just for my dog to get 2 shots. Price is amazing. Service is a different story

To day was my first visit with my Yorkie. Everything was great answered all my questions in a very professional friendly way..loved the way my dog & I were treated. The charges were very reasonable.
I have found my dog a new vet.
Only one problem finding the place. The ladies I talked to were very kind & guided me to my destination never a impatient moment.

If there were a 0 star i wouldnt of done that. All they did was ONE X-ray on my dog. No blood work, no ultrasound nothing and was wanting to do an emergency exploratory surgery and cut her open not even knowing if there was somthing inside her. WHILE CHARGING ME 2,354.00 TO DO IT EVEN IF NOTHING WAS FOUND. They said they just wanted to make sure. Never once did iget to speak or get introduced to the doctor and when i tild them i was ganna get a second opion they were very rude and told me iif i didnt do the surgery now they werent ganna do it at all. They just want your money. Dont go here!!!!

I have previously used another Veterinary in Norman, but heard wonderful things about Southwest Veterinary Hospital. I noticed my Cat's tooth was bothering her on a Thursday night. The staff was incredible! They worked me in on Friday got antibiotics started and a procedure scheduled the following week on a Tuesday. A detailed estimate of all charges was provided in advance. I will always use this Veterinary from now on. I can't thank them enough.
