The men and women of Tipp City do not come in to work to punch a clock. To us, this is a calling. We built Tipp City because we are passionate animal lovers, and we find meaning in caring for your pets like we would our own. Giving you more happy years with your pet by your side is what helps us rest easy at night. And building the veterinary practice of the future, today, is what we pour our energy into. Tipp City is a special place. And it's a reflection of the love you share with your pets.
Services
I wanted to thank the staff on behalf of my family, especially Dr. Ken. We unfortunately had to put our senior dog to sleep last night and their professionalism and caring attitude helped with the difficult task. They listened as we told stories of her amazing 20+ year life and feats of wit, and gave us plenty of room to grieve and reassurance we were doing the right thing for her.
Roots The history of Dr. James Mathias began building his dreams of providing complete wellness care in 1982. His longtime dream of designing and building a state of the art facility in which to serve his clients became a reality in the winter of 1997 when the current Tipp City Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Center opened its doors.
We are proud to say that our practice is one of the few AAHA accredited practices in west-central Ohio. AAHA is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. Through AAHA accreditation program we voluntarily chose to be evaluated on over 900 standards in the following areas: quality of care; diagnostic & pharmacy; management; medical records; and facility.
FEAR We all love our pets and want what's best for them throughout their lives - including the best medical care, keeping them fear-free. Unfortunately, for many pets (and pet parents), visits to veterinary practice evoke feelings of fear and stress. If this is true for your pet, what if veterinary visits could be something that they looked forward to?
We know what it takes to make veterinary care less stressful for cats and their families. We have taken extra steps to provide the best care and experience for you and your cat. We have created a feline-friendly environment to make visits easier, trained our staff to understand cats better and use techniques to reduce stress during visits, and our doctors are highly trained in feline medicine and surgery.

I took my dog down for an evaluation to their program. She apparently did ok. Now it's just a waiting game. Don't know what more to say.
The ladies at the desk were very friendly and polite. The "evaluator" seemed to care about the animals and was quite encouraging. Like I said, now it's just a waiting game.

Our GSD puppy decided to break into a room and steal and eat Tom Cat mouse poison. From the moment I called in our Emergency, the Dr and Staff were amazing. They saved our girls life. I appreciate the research and knowledge they invest, not to mention the care for the pets, but they also took care of us as parents.

My dog had his orientation day at Tipp to Tail for doggy daycare. The staff were incredibly friendly, their online portal is so easy to use, and the facility is outstanding. We are so excited for our dog to be on the wait list for regular daycare services - he had a blast and is home snoring in his bed! Thank you!

I left my 2 dogs who have only been left outside my care once before. Tipp to Tails employees responded to texts when I checked on my dogs and sent pictures which reassured me they were happy. When I picked them up they seemed calm and comfortable and the employees seemed genuinely happy to have shared time with my dogs.

First thing they did when I brought Charli in for the first time, was offer him a little plate with a nice variety of treats, chicken, tuna, cheese... They made sure he was comfortable and didn't do anything that would stress him out too much. The vet had a great conversation with me about things I can do at home and they were very kind and respectful.

I was told to come to this vet because I knew my gut was telling me there was something wrong with my dog other than being diagnosed with cushings. Sure enough my gut was right, and Tipp City Vet hospital has been amazing thus far! I feel like Dr. Emily really took the time to listen to the problems my dog had and she explained everything to me in detail. Highly recommend!!!

An excellent facility that is modern, clean and all-inclusive meaning that pretty much anything you need for your pet, you can get here! The staff is highly trained and takes a personal interest in your pet. My 9 month old puppy has seen the same doctor and groomer since he was 8 weeks old and they always know who he is when we visit. Whether you need grooming, lodging, training, wellness care, or emergency care, this is the place to

My sweet 13 year old girl dislocated her hip on a Saturday around 2 P.M. Tipp City Veterinary Hospital was able to see her by 3:30. Dr. Ben was great and was able to get her hip back into place. They have called both days since the injury to check on her status. I can't thank them enough. Grade A treatment. The entire staff was top notch.

We took my MIL's dog there when he got sick because Dr. Jacob was his regular vet. Milo (not his real name), 10 years old, was suddenly having seizures. They told us not to worry because it probably wouldn't happen again. We ended up at MedVet 2 nights later because he was seizing and wouldn't stop, then to OSU, where we were told Milo had an inoperable brain tumor. We had to put him down. I feel like if Tipp City would have given MIlo a better exam and tried to reach a diagnosis, we could have avoided the $5,000 emergency vet bills.

Tipp City Vet and Dr. Jacob appear to be successful scam artists in a mid west community. We moved here from NY and brought a sick 8 week old golden retriever puppy to the clinic for assistance. Before even CHECKING a stool sample Dr. Jacob was urging us to allow him to perform an exploratory laparotomy on this 8 week old puppy. $900 later of numerous X-rays, anti-emetics, stool
softeners, and unnecessary water hydration packs we left the office, shocked and afraid that as Dr. Jacob claimed "our puppy may not make it through the night if we didn't let him operate." Fortunately, our

We were referred to Tipp City Vet by one of our dogs trainers. He recommended them for boarding Molly because Molly has severe anxiety issues and does best when left alone at a kennel. The offer double long kennels to accommodate such instances, which is perfect. We have since moved to the Chicago area and have yet to find a kennel that is as nice, clean, and has the amazing staff that Tipp City has!!

WARNING !! Beware of unnecessary vet examination and vaccination fees. We scheduled to board our dog while being out of town for 10 days. Our dog's vaccination history said that he was due booster 4 days before we were to return. The day before we left we received a phone call from the clinic informing us that our dog was going to need his boosters while there which would necessitate the dog being subjected to a full Vet examination in addition to the cost of giving the boosters. The interesting thing about this situation is the fact that the night before we received the call about the

While he was not my dog's regular vet, i was referred to dr. james mathias for stem cell treatments ($2500) for my little dog. they were not widely available at that time, and he was the least drive from my home, so i opted for the tipp vet hospital.
from pre surgery tests, dr. mathias advised i increase my pup's thyroid meds. i am not a veterinarian and so was unaware there should be a follow up test panel to verify the need of increased dose.
my dog was elderly and i was apprehensive about the strain on him from any procedure.

We have lodged our chocolate lab puppy here twice. It's a very nice kennel. The employees there are always very friendly and seem like they genuinely enjoy working with animals. During our trips we check up on our dog regularly by phone, and the staff is always very understanding. We would lodge our dog here anytime and are always confident about the care she receives while we are gone

If you are researching your pets potential healthcare provider, I assume you care as much about your pets as I do about my 8 year old cat, Oscar. Its with that in mind that I find it very important to write a review about Dr. Kenneth Brunson, as he was a wonderful doctor and was just as invested in Oscar's well being as I am.
To start, I will mention that my review does not just represent one visit with Dr. Brunson, but actually a total of 3. Oscar's bladder infection, which was treated immediately, gave way to urinary crystals (a common side effect) that needed removed with the help

About a year ago we switched to this veterinarian in hopes of receiving excellent care for our family members. When you walk into the establishment, it is quite a sight. They not only have bottled water and toys for sale but it is an incredibly large facility. We saw Dr. Jim and he was very pleasant. He ended up recommending surgery for one of my two dogs in which we scheduled pretty quickly due to the severity of the case. At the initial examination we were pretty astounded by the prices. I understand it costs money for their services and they should be reimbursed but even charging disposal of

Great care, but very expensive. We live in Tipp City, so Tipp City Vet used to be our go-to when either of our dogs was feeling ill. We began looking for a new vet after we took our elderly Labrador Retriever in to get an opinion about some growths on her side. The doctor informed us that they were just some benign tumors, and said that he could remove them easily. We agreed, and he removed the tumors. We were not informed that the "easy removal" would leave us with a $300 vet bill that day. We then switched to Agenbroad Veterinary Clinic in Huber Heights; same level of care, more information

After moving to Huber Heights, we started looking for a new Vet. We first used the boarding services @ Tipp City Vet for both of our dogs and were very impressed.
The facility is large, clean and "open" so you can more or less see into the kennels. I'm a fan of this vs. the "we'll take them to the back" style many boarding facilities have where you don't know where your dog is actually staying. Both my dogs came home happy campers and received great report cards. I actually like the report card idea as well --- each animal receives their own written by the employee

Our dogs (Shiloh and Bo-Bo) have always received the best care from Tipp City Veterinary Hospital. The facility is clean, professional and the doctors are truly caring. Especially nice is their lodging facility which is clean and very large. Remember to ask for VIP treatment for your pet. They will wash, walk, play with and groom them so when you are ready to pick them up, they are looking and smelling awesome!
