Born in China's Taishan Province in 1905, Mr. Charles Foon Wong, founder of The Canton Resturant, moved to the United States at a young age seeking better prospects. After serving in the Army in World War II, Charles opened the Eastern Star Cafe, with his nephew, Gene Guen, in Northwest, Washington DC. Family-run business with a sizeable menu of classic Chinese cuisine, some American eats and a lunch buffet.

First time and last time. Slow service, cold food, an undrinkable mia tia and a piece of broken plastic fork in my wife's dinner. Not a good first experience. Carry out customers seemed to get good service but the few dine in customers sufffered from lack of service.

I order dinner from here every Friday. The food is always delivered hot and fresh. They have their own delivery people and it’s been the same two for over a year.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Annapolis! The portions are extremely generous and the food is incredible. The restaurant has a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that is so welcoming and nostalgic. The staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you're enjoying your meal.

The house fried rice we ordered was just a regular one with no specialty whatsoever!! It was just cooked rice mixed with some veggies and meat. I can make better one myself at home. Can’t complain about the portion though!

Read a few reviews and someone said that this was a schezwan restaurant. And so we went. We were driving through Annapolis.
Interesting setup for the restaurant. It's not in a strip mall but in a little building of its own. The parking is in the back and there's a sloping driveway that puts you in the front of the establishment and a small little garden in the front. They have about three tables for seating outside and we chose to eat outside although they were allowing people to dine in.
Well Szechuan restaurant it's not. But we were hungry and didn't have the time to go looking around so we

Sad to write this because we really wanted to love this place since it’s close to our house. Ordered for takeout, ready at the right time. Upon walking in the restaurant it smelled kind of odd- almost stale. Chicken and veggie lomein was pretty bland, the veggie dumplings were bad (weird filling and super thick dough). The egg roll and shrimp in garlic sauce were pretty good, but the shrimp in garlic sauce was full of interesting vegetables. Idk… just didn’t hit the mark. We won’t be ordering again.
