Rice Box Goodlettsville is the former China Express that was a local tradition for more than 25 years. China Express is back with the same recipes for Chinese food and excellent service but is now Rice Box to reflect its expanded menu that includes Thai and Japanese cuisine. Rice Box features a larger dining room and table service, as well as a private room for your parties.
But Rice Box also continues the take-out service that China Express was known for. You may order by telephone, 615-851-1168, or online through this website. Like China Express, Rice Box is conveniently located in the Kroger Shopping Center at the corner of Long Hollow Pike and Northcreek Blvd.

First time here and they were rude and curt to me right from the start. Ordered Black Pepper Chicken. If you are watching your sugar intake don't order this. Tastes very sweet and hardly peppery at all. Ran my blood sugar up terribly. Don't know why it needs to have sugar added at all. I'm assuming based on this dish that they probably use sugar in most of their dishes. Never again!

Okay so why hasn’t anyone else thought of having a Chines and Thai food all in one place?!??! I like Thai and my husband likes Chinese so this was AWESOME! The food was good!!! I got the Pad Thai with a side of veggies and my husband got the Orange Chicken and soda. Very yummy. :) it was $31 and change.

We love this place! So much so that our waitress is familiar with our favorite dishes. The red curry chicken is my usual. I order slightly more spicy than medium, and it's always perfect! The Manager's Special is delicious also. My husband can't eat shellfish, so he doubles up on a meat. Dine in or carry-out. Lunch specials. I highly recommend it!! And if you like really spicy, the appetizer wings are amazingly delicious! If you're Really hungry, order those wings to eat before your meal, but understand it's quite a large appetizer!

One of the worst Chinese food places my family has ever been at BEWARE! As soon as we entered the employees were extremely disrespectful but nothing compared to the MANAGERS/OWNERS when complained about our food tasting extremely bland, I went to go to the bathroom and there was insects and bugs all over the store, I usually don’t write bad reviews especially since I work in customer service, but this has got to be one of the worst if not THE WORST restaurant I’ve ever ate at!

Nice dine in Asian food for a great price.
Has good lunch specials and are quick to bring out meals.
Staff is friendly and our portions were huge.
Some side items' tastes were not to our liking like the spring rolls, but that's a personal preference.
Clean establishment, and good atmosphere. Would eat here again.

Food was delicious but overpriced a bit. I walked out with a chef special "Mongolian beef" and 6 fried wontons. Which wasn't on the menu but they obliged me. Grand total of almost $18 for take out chinese. They gave me my food without any napkins or utensils to eat with. So I had to come up with something to eat with. I'm sure "dine in" is better. I would eat there again only because the food was good and I'd like to try another menu option.
