Living at FerndaleHaus has been excellent! The location is unmatched for the Detroit area with lots of great bars, restaurants and local Ferndale events. The building is safe and secure, covered parking, roof-top patio, and a fantastic gym. The apartments have a modern and industrial aesthetic.
What really makes this place stand out above any other apartment I have lived in (and I've lived in many) is the property manager John S. We all know that property management can make or break your living space. He has gone above and beyond with any of my concerns or requests. He decorates the property

I started calling on Friday and couldn't reach anyone so I left a message. They are supposed to be open at 10 on Saturday, so I called several times and since it wasn't far away I stopped by. There was no one there. The voice mail says they are assiting other tenants. So they lie right to start. If you are not open at a time, then don't say you are. Have a little respect for other people please.

I was one of the first residents to move in, they told me my one bedroom was not ready so they put me on a studio and my unit will be ready in 2 weeks or so. Then the whole scenario changed to 2 months or more so I settled in the studio. There was no never security or front disk person as I was promised. Actually the building had doors open 24 at the beginning for couple of months. It is true the staff keep changing every month. You can hear your upstairs neighbors and you can hear the alarm of your next door neighbors. The location is great yes. I met amazing neightbors, young professionals. There

I lived there for several months, the rain was leaking from roof for two times. The acoustic partition between units are extreme poor, I can hear my neighbors slamming the microwave, vacuuming, partying, and so on. Nobody followed the quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. Good thing is the response from front desk is quick.

I have been living at FerndaleHaus for over a year and recently signed a lease to stay for another. We love the building and the great location. Very pet friendly as well (the entire management team knows our dog by name)! Great customer service from the leasing/management office and maintenance, Angel most commonly for us, are very responsive and leave us happy every time they are needed! I would recommend living here to anyone!

I lived at Ferndalehaus for nine months and I am happy to say that it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
Here’s the thing, the building had problems in the beginning - fire alarms were going off and some apartments had leaks, but the vast majority of apartments, including my own, were without issues. Despite some of those mechanical details which have become fewer and more far between in more recent months, the staff were accommodating and the residents became some of my best friends in the area. Through social events and mixers, we were able to meet our neighbors and hang out with

The best. The staff is super friendly and responsible -- and responsive! Brian is amazing, Janet is super! This is a really clean, really beautiful place to live.
Western market and Hungry Howie are across the street.
Ferndale Foods is 2 minutes away.
The residents are friendly and nice, the ones I've met. Dogs are allowed which is really nice.
Bruce, the manager, is completely reasonable and helpful.
They fix things fast and they take away the trash. They have valet service for the trash Sunday through Thursday so you just have to put your trash outside your door in the valet bin and they

Worst living situation I've ever had. Lived there for months and was the first to occupy my unit. My unit was never once cleaned before I moved in after construction, nor were the vents cleaned. Dust and debris burning in the vents over winter caused me many lung issues (Doctors told me to move out IMMEDIATELY) As I am an asthmatic. Both Brian's in the office & leasing office were awesome and did everything they could to help. I was put up in a hotel while my unit was being cleaned (hotel paid on MY credit card) and FerndaleHaus refused to reimburse for hotel + my security deposit when I told them

Wow, The amount of love for the residents is insane. Today I had a little scare when my nanny cam went out and I couldn't see my dog. He hasn't adjusted well since we moved so I have been keeping a good eye on things. I called the office and they quickly rushed upstairs to make sure he was okay and let me know. Michelle even loved on him for a little. Michelle and Brian have been incredible people to talk to and they actually listen and care for the people living here. This place is beyond gorgeous and I just love the weekly resident meet up. Keep it up! Never felt so good about an apartment
