Dr. Sirtaj, is very passionate and compassionate. My pup has an eye issue. He did thorough check up and suggested a surgical procedure and referred me to ophthalmologist. Since I am from out of state, his love of animals made him go above and beyond to call out of state opthalmologist to ensure an immediate appointment for my puppy so that his issue will be taken care as soon as possible. I had taken my older puppies also to consult with him. His communications with the pet owners makes us feel comfortable.

I am updating my review to reflect my most recent experience with this clinic. I was having a hard time getting someone to call me back regarding some medication I had purchased online. I was frustrated because I kept getting the same answer when I called and little to no help. After I expressed my frustrations, the team at Hayward Animal Clinic were responsive to my negative experience and did respond to me both via phone and email. I understand several clinics are understaffed and overworked and I think that contributed to the lack of communication here. Overall my faith is restored in the clinic

It's been so hard to get appointments with my primary veterinarian and this case wasn't necessarily an emergency so I didn't want to go to OakVet but I did need to see someone soon. OakVet recommended Hayward Animal Clinic. I called them and they were able to see me quickly, same day. I dropped off my little girl and did intake. The whole process was smooth and easy. I immediately felt that my little girl was in good hands.

I made an appointment to get a dog vaccinated that was in my care. They refused to see him when they realized he had been there before with someone else. My understanding is they had words. This dog is under my care now and he was overdue for vaccinations. I had one of the sweetest people I know bring him in for me and I personally spoke with the vet apologizedto what was said in the past and that I was not that person also offered to drop everything and go to their clinic. We waited for appointment more than 3 weeks. They started our appointment 30 min later. The doctor tried to sell us unnecessary medical examinations and was not able to check our dogs ears. We ordered a kidney blood test. They promised to send us a result by email the next day and they didn't do it. We had to go there again to pick up the result. The doctor charged us for examination but they didn't say anything useful at all.
We will never go there again.

I am furious.
My dog was prescribed 2 weeks of antibiotics for an infection almost a month ago. They gave me half the prescribed amount of antibiotics at a time because it expires within a week. However, they did not refill the second round medication in a timely manner, thus we had to restart the antibiotics from day one. As of today, they have failed to give my dog the second round of antibiotics yet again.
Both times this happened, I called them first thing in the morning. I did it exactly how they instructed. What followed was that the assistants would give me the run around as

Price is reasonable. Dr. Gill is a very professional doctor. Very detailed reports, explanations, calls me back on his own time even when he's out of the office. He is very attentive and very patient in explaining. I very much appreciate his care and his professionalism for Dee. I would recommend everyone to come here including my friends.

We found a puppy wandering the streets while walking our dogs. She was very friendly so we were able to put her on a leash. She seemed like she was well cared for and had just escaped the house.

This place deserves negative 100 stars for its disastrous vet communication skills.
I don't know if the vet has a very low self-esteem or what, no matter what questions you ask, he always finds the most offensive way to respond as an overreaction for his poor inner world.
My dog had an appointment for open-abdomen surgery. On the appointment day, I told the doctor I got a few questions to ask before sending my dog in. He showed a very impatient gesture, and it was like: "what?! How can you have questions?!"
I simply asked him if the surgery could be dangerous and if ultrasound

To the end I went to Hayward Animal clinic for puppy wellness check.it was excellent! Clinic sent to me all result in Pdf the day. my other dog has vet ( very popular vet .not only the vet does not take new dog even before covid 19 but difficult to make appointment) I had 2 time wellness check last year include blood test because I just some worry her health. She is my life. however I never got any test result . now I am planing to take her to Hayward animal hospital for second opinion And wellness check here too after covid things calm down because my older dog get scared without

I was very impressed with the service at Hayward Animal Clinic. After reading the Yelp reviews, I wasn't sure how it would go, but everything was great! I really appreciated that Dr. Wavrick came outside to meet me and let me ask all of my many questions. So glad that I chose Hayward Animal Clinic! Dr Gill and staff, top to bottom took such great care of our puppy. Full transparency on everything, they work with you as much as possible to find the most effective and affordable care. I have one sweet feral cat named Dusty that I have been feeding daily for over a year. The other day I noticed she had a huge open wound on her neck. It was a bad abscess from a cat bite.
When all my San Leandro vets were booked up for a month and turning me away, Hayward Animal Clinic was able to schedule her the very next day. They didn't hesitate when I told them she would be difficult due to being semi-feral.
Dr. Gill Sirtaj came up with a special treatment plan based on Dusty's unique needs as a feral. He was kind and took time to explained everything on the phone for my approval
