Timo Knecht Fitness
Timo Knecht has been getting bodies in shape ever since he came to the United States from Germany in 1997. He has over 20 years of Martial Arts / Sports experience and is a German Kickboxing Champion. As a young kid he started with Shotokan Karate and worked himself through the ranks in the following years.

Simultaneously, he started with kickboxing where he competed successfully in many tournaments within Europe. He also trained at the GSG9 Special Forces Training Center in Germany where yearly seminars for real life self defense were held. After moving to the United States Timo started his Private Training Business.

Timo is one of the best. Seriously. I was introduced through another trainer, my original trainer, which says something in itself, because I wanted to get into kickboxing as well. When she sadly moved, Timo took over.

He is a life changer. He listens, knows what he is talking about, pushes when needed, but one of the best things about him is his presence. My fiancée, who was sort of a nonbeliever in trainers until I dragged him to Timo, (who then promptly signed up for a series of sessions), said there is no ego with Timo. Timo is amazing! I cannot say enough about how much I enjoy my sessions with him. We've been training for seven months now, twice a week and it's been great. I am seeing and feeling results and so are the people around me. It's so nice to get compliments when you are putting in the effort. Moreover, I recently ran the LA marathon, which was my fourth marathon, this past March and because of Timo's knowledge and training I was able to finally accomplish my goal of running it under 5 hours. I've been training with Timo twice a week for three months and I've been sick twice which hindered my training. None the less, I've lost 8 pounds; but more importantly, gotten much toner. Timo trains me very hard (just like I ask) and adjusts the workout to accomodate my goals. He is a great trainer that mixes it up to keep it interesting and challenging. I've had many different trainers and while having a trainer makes me more accountable, I have always dreaded the workouts. From the start, Timo's kinesthetic and nutrition knowledge is apparent and instills confidence. My goal is to re-discipline myself (again) and lean out (again), and I happily show up knowing he will help me reach my goal quickly! And soon after beginning with him, I discovered I am pregnant and he knows exactly what to do with pregnant ladies, as he has lots of experience with them! I am so very happy I found Timo.

I've been working with Timo for a few months now, and it's one of the things I most look forward to in my week. He always has a great attitude, and knows exactly how to push me. He totally reads my pace, and pushes me juuuuuust far enough out of my comfort zone that by the end I feel awesome and like I really accomplished something. He knows how to switch things up so I'm never bored, and adds some kickboxing in so I feel like a total badass. He's also really flexible and easygoing. Very nice and fun, and also keeps your heart rate up the whole time. I had fallen into a rut

My husband and I started training with Timo about 4 months ago. We both had very specific (and different) goals in mind when we started and Timo took the time to really listen to what we were each looking to accomplish. He has been great in adjusting our routines to meet our individual goals. We work out separately but at the same time and Timo never misses a beat! He keeps us both busy and minimizes standing around time. He mixes it up and keeps it fun and interesting by incorporating some basic kickboxing in with weight training and cardio. Timo is great! I've trained with him for 4 months, and I've never felt better! He is very nice, punctual and keeps you motivated. He understands that everyone's fitness level is different and designs his workouts accordingly. The workouts are challenging, fun, and different every time. I highly recommend him!

Timo is a wonderful trainer who works with you to find the workouts that suit you best/that you enjoy doing. I was very nervous to start going back to the gym after 2 years without working out. Immediately after the first session with Timo I knew that I wanted to work with him.The workouts we do are fun, challenging and have changed my body composition. In less than a month I could tell that I was losing inches all over. Timo is a wonderful trainer because not only do his workouts give you good results, but he is a kind person with a positive attitude who is enjoyable to be around! I would recommend

After my second child I noticed the weight wasn't dropping off as fast as it did with my first, my stomach was flabby and not bouncing back as fast either. Timo knows exactly what works for my body type. The workouts were fun and effective. I didn't want to build any bulk and he really tailored my workouts to exactly what was needed. He really listened to what I wanted to achieve and got me where I wanted to be.

I found Timo after having my second child, and I was totally out of shape and overweight. It is now two years later and I love my sessions with him. I feel healthy and fit. I wish I could see him every day, but with two kids and a full-time job, life gets in the way. My schedule is constantly changing but Timo is great about being responsive to my limited availability. He's punctual, reliable and easy to get in touch with.

For all you ladies/moms out there who think you need a female trainer, you don't! I was intimidated by the idea of having a male trainer, but Timo really tailors

Timo is a great trainer who treats clients like family.
His workouts are particular and specially catered to every individual. I have had a few injuries and he was able to work around that =) He has taught me a lot in regard to injury prevention, diet, and creative ways to use the machines! Before working out, I was a complete newbie and would not feel comfortable using weights. That has all changed! Also, he has introduced me to kickboxing and I have picked that up as a hobby.

I really admire his professionalism and kindness. He has never been late to our workouts and responds in a very timely

For the long run! I have been working out with Timo for many years now and he always knows how to keep me motivated and focused. I did not do any exercise for many years and actually was afraid to enter a gym.
A friend recommended Timo Knecht, explaining how he is very patient and able to work with any age. I am 72.
I got the courage to go into the gym. After an evaluation he said my painful knee would improve if I was consistent.
I began to take direction from Timo and was amazed how much stronger I was in a short time!
I began to notice I could wear a smaller size jeans even though my weight remained about the same.
Meeting Timo has changed my life! I feel younger, my posture has improved and I lost the fear of exercising

Motivation is fickle- you must first learn discipline. This is my main weakness for working out. It's so hard to get motivated. I contacted Timo through a recommendation and I haven't looked back since. I'm a novice in fitness and kick boxing and Timo really knows how to motivate and discipline you without overworking you. He is able to assess your strength levels and knows just how hard to push you. I have abs! I wear crop tops confidently thanks to this guy!!! While Timo can definitely give you killer obliques, the kind of confidence you get from his methods is unparalleled. Timo

Timo taught me kickboxing at a young age and mentored me into being a trainer. He is an amazing trainer and has moves you've never seen any other trainer do. He's friendly, punctual and patient. I highly recommend him as a longtime trainer because he will keep you in shape forever !!!!
