FALLS ROAD VETERINARY HOSPITAL has been serving the Potomac, MD community since 1988. Shortly after our present facility was completed, we were awarded the Veterinary Economics Award for Hospital Design. We are honored to have been chosen Best Veterinarian for 2008 and 2012 by Washington Consumer's Checkbook and we are extremely honored to have been chosen the Best Veterinary Hospital for 2011 and 2014 by Bethesda Magazine.
At Falls Road Veterinary Hospital, we believe your pets deserve the highest-quality care at all times, whether we see them for a routine check-up and vaccinations, or if they're brought to us in an emergency. Every pet receives the full attention of our dedicated, experienced veterinary office staff, every time, and the full benefits our state-of-the-art veterinary facility can provide.
In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment be made at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. Falls Road Vet is happy to accept Cash, Check (with Valid ID), Debit Card, Scratchpay, CareCredit, Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover.
Regular preventative care and wellness examinations are important to maintaining your pet's best health. Regular exams allow us to detect symptoms of disease or illness in your pet, and treat these symptoms before they affect your pet's quality of life or before they become an emergency. We recommend that all pets receive a comprehensive physical examination at least once a year.
With our advanced laboratory, most blood analysis can be run during your pet's appointment, eliminating the need for referrals or follow up visits. A complete blood count takes just 5 minutes and can determine signs of infection and blood disorders, while our blood chemistry machines can aide in quickly diagnosing kidney, liver and other metabolic disorders.

I only came here because of one particular doctor I liked. The rest of the staff was pretty cold, including the front desk. For about 1.5 years I came here on a weekly basis for services, and they rarely acknowledged me when I came in. Instead, I'd have to awkwardly stand there for several minutes. Even if they were busy they could have made eye contact, greeted me, and told me they would be right with me. Several times it looked like they weren't working on anything and just didn't feel like greeting customers.

My husband and I found Falls Road Veterinary Hospital over the Internet because we were looking for a Vet that could manage our dogs export process to Australia. They took the leadership on this huge project running the exams and procedures required to achieve the goal and managed the different stakeholders to make it easier for us. The process run smooth and they took care of our dogs (and us as well) achieving a successful export process. We are very grateful, we really feel they provided tons of value and we strongly recommend them.

They are the best in the business. Staff is incredibly friendly and professional and the Doctors are amazing. Whether I am taking my dog there for medical reasons or for boarding, I always know that she is going to be in great hands because they treat all of their patients as if they were their own.

We have taken our pets to Falls Rd for 25+yrs. Everyone on staff treats not only the pets, but owners with personal & professional care. Staff wants every visit to be pleasant ~ we’ve had several dogs & cats… who Loved going there. We have only experienced great care. They truly, personally care for what ever brings us there. Highly recommend!!
