Woodley Gardens Veterinary Care
We have adjusted our procedures and will amend them as necessary, based upon safety recommendations. Please note that our lobby is still closed, and we are employing a "virtual" waiting room. When you arrive at our hospital, please remain in your car and call us at 240-403-8387 to let us know you're here.

At that time, we'll ask for the number of your designated WGVC parking spot. A WGVC team member will greet you and your pet at your car and escort you into the hospital. If you do not wish to come into the hospital for safety reasons, we will still offer Zoom and telephone virtual visits. Once your appointment is complete, a team member will help you with payment in the exam room, dispense any prescribed medications, and escort you to your car.
Services
Woodley Gardens Veterinary Care offers you just what our name suggests: care for your pet. But not just any routine medical care. We strive to nurture your pet through every stage of life-from newly adopted puppies and kittens to end-of-life hospice care. Our goal is to provide the highest quality care to your pet so they can be their very best selves and live their fullest life with you.
For appointment requests, we will contact you to confirm a date and time that is as close to your request as possible. Please note: When making online requests please allow 24 hours for your request to be processed. If your appointment has not been confirmed within 24 hours, please feel free to contact the practice by phone to confirm.
Did you know that accreditation for an animal hospital is voluntary? Surprising, isn't it? Nearly 60 percent of pet owners believe that their pet's veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In actuality, only 12-15% of animal hospitals have gone through the accreditation evaluation process by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
We stress the importance of preventative care and annual visits to limit onset of illness, and for early detection and action for issues that may be found. During wellness exams, we may also recommend vaccination for prevention of infectious diseases, discuss the prevention of internal and external parasites, and conduct a proper nutrition and weight consultation.
Different questions may arise if you have an 8-week, 8 year- or 18-year-old pet. A first-time owner may feel overwhelmed with the new responsibilities associated with caring for a new pet. Someone may feel lost when dealing with the aging of a long-time companion. We are here to answer any of your questions and provide recommendations about pets of all ages.

My pup is 1 years old and started with a different Vet. I started looking around because they were way to expensive! The first people I called was Woodley Gardens and right off the back I felt good about the conversation I had with them and the prices were 1/2!! Since then my doggie has been several times and they have been completely awesome!!

Glad to have found such a great vet in the area! All of the nurses I've interacted with are wonderful, friendly and do a great job being responsive and communicative. Dr. Storm is also wonderful-clearly really cares about pets and what he does and takes wonderful care of them. It can be scary to surrender your pet to a new vet and my husband and I have been really satisfied with our cat's care here!

Just brought my 11 y.o kitty for a check up and flea consult and Dr. Storm was amazing!!! He answered all my questions and made my very anxious kitty feel comfortable 😇 the nurse that helped us was fantastic too, so caring and attentive. I left feeling so much better about all my concerns. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Dr. Josh Storm and his medical team at Woodley Gardens provide the most caring, kind and high quality treatment that I’ve ever experienced as a pet owner in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area. They are organized, efficient, transparent about costs and most importantly, they love and treat your pet as they would their own. It’s been such a pleasure working with them to care for our senior pup, and I’m so thankful we found this wonderful team.

I love this vet! Everyone is so wonderful. My cat Trevor has health problems but I always feel confident knowing I have this vet to take him to. We’ve seen 3 different doctors and many nurses and liked them all! Trevor especially loves the nurse Briana because she’s so friendly, fun, and gave him lots of treats. I highly recommend this vet for everyone who loves their cat!
I can usually get an appointment pretty quickly and always leave feeling good about what they’ve done for Trevor. I switched to them a few years ago after I wasn’t satisfied with the vet I’d been seeing. Trevor was

I love Woodley Gardens Vet Care! The staff and doctors are all fantastic. Everyone I've met enthusiastically loves animals and have really gotten to know both our dogs. They're so easy to work with too, with scheduling through an app, as well as the ability to send questions over chat. They are REMARKABLY responsive. I wish I could find a people doctor like this. Thank you WG for taking care of our pets so well!

Easily the best vet clinic I have ever taken my pets to. The staff is kind, courteous, and proactive. After a bad experience at another local vet, I took my dog to Woodley to have a second opinion on a cancerous tumor removal. Not only did they explain every step of the process, they made sure that my dog was comfortable during the whole assessment by giving her peanut butter, treats, etc. The team called and emailed to check up on post surgery, and responded within minutes to any inquiries I had (which were a lot).
I am taking my other two cats to this vet from now on. They've earned my trust

Woodley Gardens Vet is the BEST! The doctors are so kind, and always take the time to explain everything and answer all your questions. The vet techs and front desk staff are equally awesome. Really top notch office. I highly recommend this office for your pets care.

Dr. Storm & Dr. Nichols truly have a caring and compassionate practice.
I met them prior to having a pet and at that point determined they would have my business when I got my dog. Two years later, I was pleased to present my dog to them for care. They were comprehensive and gave me the confidence that I had made the right decision. My dog got spayed by Dr. Storm, who pioneered surgical techniques prior to his practice. My dog's area healed in a beautiful and impressive way. So thankful for their staff and their attention to my dog.
THEY ARE YOUNG! So they should be around for a long time!
