I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and service I received at Animal Hospital East - they are a credit to the veterinary community. In a family crisis that resulted in a need to fly with our anxious cat from NC to TX, our usual vet was unable/unwilling to assist with updating her vaccinations and providing pharmaceutical assistance for the plane ride. Luckily for my family, Animal Hospital East stepped up to the plate. They fit us into their schedule on the next day and were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and thorough while addressing our cat's needs. Their kindness

We were in town for a couple days on a camping trip with our 2 boxers. My wife had planned to have them at a daycare while we went for a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We found out last minute that one of our dogs didn't have all the required shots and needed to get that taken care of last minute. We called up Animal Hospital East and they were a total life saver. They took our pup in within a couple hours and had us on our way a few minutes later. Their staff was very friendly and seemed incredibly knowledgeable. Would take our dogs back if we needed to.

Dr. Pisani and his terrific team got my newly adopted dog through parvo! Although it was the weekend they got my pup in for an appointment quickly and kept me up to date on her status, making sure I knew everything going on. I am so grateful my girl made it through, and know that without the team at AHE she wouldn't be snuggled in my lap right now. Thanks again to Dr. Pisani and his great weekend team!

I had a unique sittuation where i found a dead raccoon in my yard. I tried to do the right thing by calling animal control which next time ill take it to the wnc ag center for testing myself.(they were also a giant help Richard Oliver). So the city was going to force me to either quaranteen my healthy dog for 6 months or euthanize her. Which was not an option! I called my vet and every boarding and vet hospital in town and noo one would let me quaranteen her at their facilities. The young lady at animal hospital east was confident they could take care of her and the employees have been vaccinated

The staff at Animal Hospital East is friendly and helpful but if you want excellent care for your animals I suggest you find another vet. The owner of the business appears bothered when questions are asked and is not easily available or forthcoming when emergencies arise. If you are looking for a vet to have simple vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures then this is the place for you. They will not recommend a specialist be seen for larger surgeries and will state that they know what they are doing. Get a second opinion if you go here - they do not offer 24 hour monitoring after surgery and do not
