Luxe Salon opened its doors in October of 1998 and is one of the top rated hair salons in Denver. Salon owner Laurie Helmick and co-owner Jody Martinez have worked diligently to create a cutting edge hair salon only using the best professional hair care products which has become an institution in the Lower Downtown Denver area.
At Luxe Salon our hair stylists are known for their experience, education, and artistic vision. Abby was born and raised in Denver, CO where she realized she had a love for making people feel beautiful inside and out.
Jody's passion for his work is evident in his creations. Almost three decades of experience and continued education provides a broad, solid base for his creativity. His skill and artistry were nationally showcased when TLC television network featured him as a master stylist on two of their shows: "Ambush Makeover" and "A Makeover Story."
Kelli Potthoff's styling experience has been spot-on since 2000. Not only was she selected to do a live makeover on the "CBS Early Show', but was also selected for a personal write-up in Allure Magazine, where the correspondent accurately remarked, "Potthoff has the patience of a teacher".
Naturally, Kelli has continued to be a teacher for Luxe Salon as a network Educator for Bumble & Bumble, and most recently, as a salon mentor for newer stylists who seek out her guidance in the art of the consultation.From simply a cut and color, to a whole new style, Kelli is passionate about each of her clients leaving the salon feeling the utmost best.

Angie is one of the newest members of the Luxe team. She has 18 years of experience in the beauty industry. She has worked in a salon environment as a hair stylist and manager. She was an educator for three years at Empire Beauty school. Angie also has done freelance hair and make-up at movie set productions.

I was traveling from out of town to attend a wedding. I’ll start by saying that everyone was extremely friendly. Angie did my hair and it looked beautiful for the first hour and then my pins began falling out. I had to leave the wedding to go buy pins in order to fix my hair. I’m just bummed that it didn’t hold up considering the price for the updo.

This is a top notch salon. Kelli has cut/colored my thinning hair for two years and I could not be more pleased. Kelli's parting comment is always - "if this isn't working, call me and we'll make it right. "The salon has a professional, friendly atmosphere. They've been attentive to Covid safety measures. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE unless you want to be overcharged for a bad haircut and blamed and condescended to for your bad experience by the owner. My hair was botched and when I reached out to have the situation corrected the owner was rude and unhelpful and became immediately defensive and hostile. At one point rather than issue a refund she point blank denied I had even visited and ended the conversation. I have not heard back since from any of the other management and I assume the money I spent there to have my hair ruined will never be returned. Aside from my poor experience, the salon is anything

I live downtown and have visited many hair salons, never fully satisfied UNTIL I visited LUXE Salon. My new fav! Angie cut my hair and I love, love, love my new hairdoo. She's FANTASTIC!!! I stopped in because the reviews seem to reflect an exceptional salon but for the high price, my visit turned out to just be average.They offered to discount the total if I left a 5 star review, which explains why people are speaking of it so highly here. all things considered there are nicer salons you can visit where the price point actually reflects the value.

I would say my experience at Luxe Salon was mediocre and over priced. I needed a help with my hair once I added a silver toner and my hair turned purple/blue. I admit I was happy with the end results, but the hair stylist only spent half an hour on my hair and I was charged over $100 for the short visit. I was charged for a bleach and toner but the stylist did not bleach my hair.

This review is long overdue for Angie at Luxe Salon. I was traveling to Denver on a business trip and happened to find her through a google search. She did an outstanding job on my hair color. I only wish that she lived in San Francisco because I haven't been able to find anyone as good since. I hope to have a reason to go back to Denver again this year so I can book another appointment with her. She's fantastic! If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would.

I wanted a long bob. Definitely didn't leave with a long bob. I'm very upset about it, so much so I cried. My hair is very fine and thin and grows slowly. The cut isn't horrible just definitely NOT what I wanted or asked for. The lady was very nice. Apologized that it was shorter than expected. Super disappointed.

I haven't cut my hair in about year mainly because I didn't know who to go too and at a reasonable rate. I found Luxe and was assigned to Angie as my stylist and wanted to do something bold (front bangs) because I've had the same haircut for so long. It's so hard to trust someone to do bangs and Angie did an AMAZING job!!!! I was so happy with the end results. Just wanted to show my appreciation.

There was very limited part of this place that was good. The environment is welcoming, front desk was courteous upon arrival, and the person who did my hair was great, but she left shortly after my appointment. In essence, not a fan and no reason to go back.
Scheduled an appointment for a wedding pre updo so we could try ideas out. I called to make sure I would have someone that was also available on my wedding day. No problems there, did the appointment, and at the end, my stylist says she gave her two weeks notice but that she would write notes up and let the person she recommended I see know

Nathalie is amazing at bayalage and long hair! I'm super low maintenance with my hair and after visiting her I have been getting compliments for months straight. Definitely recommend her. The product selection here is also great And I've been using the kerastase masques frequently which have kept my long hair healthy and shiny.

I saw Nathalie today and got my first ever bayalage -- she was fantastic! The color of flawless. I asked for a minimal trim to get rid of dead ends and most stylists i've been too cut way too much off (trying to keep my hair long) and she did the least she could while still keeping my hair healthy. Will definitely go back. Prices are average for service.

Hands down my favorite salon in Denver (and I grew up here). I followed Jody over from a different salon and will be a client as long as he continues working his magic.
I love that the salon doesn't rent chairs and has a partial ownership program -- all the stylists do well and help each other succeed.
Everyone I've experienced there has been professional and skilled at what they do. Recommend 100%.

I moved to Colorado from Seattle where I had a longterm relationship with a stylist I adored. About three months into my new life in Colorado, I desperately needed my locks updated, and I researched until my eyes bled and finally landed on Jody at Luxe. I will never leave Colorado because I will literally never trust my tresses to another stylist. Jody is a wizard. He is funny, interested in the world and a magician with hair. The best I ever feel is when I walk out of Luxe after an hour or two with Jody, who not only make my old Grinch heart grow three sizes because of his pure love and light

These 5 stars are for JESS. Curly haired girls? GO TO JESS. Seriously. You won't regret it. I've lived all over the country and gone to some of the most prestigious curly salons (including Devachan in NYC) and no one compares to Jess. She's an expert at curls. So knowledgable and really listens you and doesn't cut too much off (which is crucial if you're like me with long hair and panics about this everytime haha!)

I had a terrible experience at this salon they are out to rip people off, especially the OWNER! She is a very rude heartless woman. I went in the salon expecting an ombre' hair coloring and left with no color on top there were some steaks on the underneath but that's it, and they refused to give me a discount. I was told I need to come back a few more time before you will be able to see the color but they failed to mention this until after the color was in my hair. So I ended up with a $250 hair cut!!

I absolutely rely on Jess here at Luxe Salon! She has been cutting and styling my hair since I was in high school, and for good reason. She is a certified Deva Curl stylist and knows exactly how to make my curly hair look rejuvenated, fresh and defined. We always have the best conversations while I am in her chair. Making an appointment is quick and easy over the phone. The salon has a chic and classy feel to it. They offer you a beverage right as you walk in the door. I highly recommend Jess and this salon for those with and without curly hair.

Extremely disappointed with this salon. I went in yesterday to get my hair cut and colored and I showed the stylist a picture of exactly what I wanted my hair to look like. She did her best and was very nice and professional, but unfortunately my hair was nothing like the picture and turned out blonde with a lot of orange undertones. The picture I showed her was brown hair with multiple fine highlights. I called the salon after I left and scheduled to come back the next day to get it fixed and was sent to the same girl. She was really nice about fixing it, but when she was done she ended up putting
