The Pit Shop is great for drink spills in your car. Top notch! A Starbucks chai had spilled in my car and the smell was wretched after a week. They took apart the center console where the drink spilled and cleaned up the entire mess and got rid of the smell. By the time I got the car back, it smelled new. Patrick, provided updates throughout the process. They also honored their original quote after they realized how difficult the job was. Highly recommend them and will be returning if I have another unfortunate spill.

Took my car here due to having issues with brakes. This place is a good deal and the issues are explained to you in detail. The only hesitation I have is that it took longer to get the car back then estimated (drop off car Monday evening, pick up Thursday evening). So, I would take the car back again but with the understanding they may have your vehicle longer than anticipated.

Their oil change price was great and the staff there was extremely courteous. Matt was a great guy and even gave us boxes of cookies to go! The shop is very clean and has amenities like Keurig coffee, water bottles, suckers for the kids, TV, wifi, etc. while you wait. They are extremely honest and don't lie to you if something needs to be done or not unlike most other shops I've been to. I've definitely found my new mechanic!

In all the years I've been getting my oil changed this is the first time I left a place completely impressed by the customer service. Normally I don't associate customer service with getting oil changes. I received a coupon in the mail and I decided to give them a try and I'm glad I did! They introduced themselves by first name, we're very attentive and patient in explaining things. It is a very clean and welcoming facility and when I left they sent me home with a package of cookies (I could choose between oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip or peanut butter). I will be using

Took my older jeep in for a standard oil change. They tried to up-sell me, of course, as I am a female - hard to avoid that game. But when I discovered that they had removed my tire rotation sticker off of my windshield I wasn't happy - try reading okay? In addition, this is the first time that I have ever seen my oil turn black and be low well before I am due for another oil change. Will NOT be going back there.

I generally do maintenance on my vehicles on my own, however, was hard pressed for time before a big upcoming trip. I was looking to replace a wheel bearing, wheel alignment, install a hitch and change all fluids. They did a very thorough inspection and found problems with the shocks. While I had suspected the shocks were going bad, I hadn't taken the time to confirm. They fixed all the items and some more as a courtesy, cleaned up the van and the vehicle runs beautifully now. It feels as it was when brand new.

Great experience. They specialize in Acura/Honda but they are opening a European vehicle specialty side to the business as well.
Honest, knowledgable, quick and reasonable. The place is immaculate and organized. The place is expanding and going through a remodel yet there is a comfortable place too sit and wait with drinks, snacks and tv.
This is my 2nd time here and I am comfortable recommending them.

I didn't take it to your shop for tires. I was not given the option to have the replacement transmission fixed, I was told we had to wait on another one. I'd be happy to post a screen shot of the text message if you would like. I would have chosen to have it repaired instead of waiting on another one as I was spending 30 dollars a day to get to work, for 2 weeks. Which I explained multiple times. Bottom line is I took it to you, I interacted with you, you quoted a time, you chose the supplier and now you just called me a liar while admitting that I didn't have to wait for another

I have been using Pit shop for over 8 years. I would say Best Auto service that I have ever found. Staff is very knowledgeable, highly skilled and Good Attitude. Owner and Staff is very nice, positive attitude, explain the details of issues, and definitely only fix thing that has issues.
I would trust this auto shop rather than Dealer. They care about their Customer and price is very reasonable. Plus they offered free rental car service with Enterprise
Highly recommended auto service and totally worth the drive to bring your car there.

I had problems with my radiator and needed to have it replaced. I decided to give Pit Shop a try since I got a recommendation from my neighbor. I've never had such a great car repair experience in my life. I really like that they did a great job of communicating and came in at a price less than what I expected to pay for the the repair.

Have known Drew for several years. All the guys at this shop are awesome. Their work is top notch and their prices are below the competition.
Needed a DSG flush on my Audi TT. Pit Shop did the job after parts cost + their labor for less then half the price of dealer and about 30% less then the lowest quote I got from calling a few indy shops in Chicago. Trans shifts noticeably smoother now, especially when coming to a complete stop while still in sport mode it no longer unpleasantly tugs your body forward.
Even though it is a drive from Chicago. The quality and savings make it worth it! 5 stars

Having problems with my rear suspension, I wanted to give this place a shot. I've never had such a great experience before. What makes this place different than others in my opinion? GREAT COMMUNICATION!
Matt was great at letting me know what was wrong with my car and provided pictures of what was wrong. I had to communicate via email since it was during a work day for me. It's great that I could drop my car off and leave my key in their overnight box.
I ended up spending more than I really wanted to but their service was top notch and good work doesn't come cheap.

Amazing Chicago-area Acura technician saves my @ss. And doesn't take a penny for it.
Through an Acura owners' board, I found a shop owner who used to be an Acura dealership tech until he apparently got disgusted with their customer treatment and hung out his own shingle down the street. The guy's name is Drew, and his shop is the Pit Shop in Libertyville, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago. Dozens of posters on his site raved about how competent, honest and non-greedy he was. I re-located from Michigan last year and brought both my cars with me to the Chicagoland area, one of them being an Acura. Before moving out here, I inquired on a national Acura forum about a good, honest repair shop in the Chicago area. Distance isn't really an issue to me as I'd rather drive further to get an honest repair experience than pick the "convenient" choice. After talking my car to dealer and not getting a satisfactory diagnostic for my car I went to Pits Shop.
I received Extremely professional service. Drew was very friendly. He explained to me what my car needed to be fixed. He gave me a very reasonable price, which was much lower then the dealer. My cars runs great now.
