I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Austin in 2017 and have been in love with the industry ever since! I enjoy working with my clients to create looks that they feel the most beautiful and most comfortable in. I get most excited about men's haircuts, highlights, and balayage, but I am always excited and ready to create what you need outside of those services!

Nothing like making an appointment and waiting for 20 minutes past appointment time with absolutely no communication from the receptionist or hair stylist. This is so disrespectful of peoples time.
Addition: they claim I didn’t have an appointment but it was made for my husband who came back without a haircut. We’re busy. Our time matters. Your business should respect is the way we respect you - being on time and being patient. The least you could do is communicate with clients.

I made this appointment for my mom. She hadn't seen a stylist in 6 months and was nervous about going somewhere new. Fortunately, she LOVED her experience at Path Salon. Special thanks go to her stylist 'Kascidy' who she said is super talented and very kind. My mom is so happy with her cut and the attention to detail Kascidy provided. I was very pleased with the care and thoughtfulness everyone showed, including the front desk staff. I was offered a nice place to sit and wait as well as a drink.

I have been seeing James at Path Salon for a little over a year now, and I am so glad that I found him! He is simply the best. He listens to what you want, and explains how we can get there by setting expectations on how many sessions it may take, and what the cost will look like (and even what maintenance will look like). My hair has never been better, and for someone like me who changes their hair color often (purple, pink, blonde, all of it lol) that is saying a lot. I went for a haircut last year here, and it was one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. This year, I made an appointment for balayage, thinking it would exceed my expectations like my haircut, except I didn’t have expectations because I wasn’t too familiar with balayage. It was a recommendation someone had given me.
The hairdresser dyed my hair. When the process was done, it looked unchanged. So she bleached my hair. Once the dye was done, I looked like a red hair clown. She dyed my hair again, darker. It was better than looking like a clown, so I just paid and left. The following morning

I made a last minute appointment for a cut when my very long and thick hair just got to be too much.
Kaylee was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She was so friendly and easy to talk to.
With my hair being so much and going to a drastically shorter and more layered cut she made sure to take the time to make it look amazing. Even tho I was her last client, she never made me feel like I was being rushed.
Plus the prices at Path are very reasonable. Add that to the very stylish decor and fun atmosphere, and I’m in love.

As a person with hair down to my rear, I'm always worried that hairstylists dread when I walk in the door. I did not get that vibe from the staff at Path Salon! Everyone is so friendly. Ashley greeted me and washed my hair, which felt amazing. Brooke was my hairstylist, and made me feel super comfortable! She is so sweet and has a wonderful sense of humor. More importantly, I love my hair! Thank you! I will definitely be back.

Jayda Zapp is my girl! I have been trying to find a stylist in Austin for a few years and FINALLY found one I could vibe with who understood my hair goals. She kept it simple and didn't try to overdo my cut! Plus she's hilarious and my visits are always fun. If your looking for a bob but scared they will go too short I recommend Jayda. She will listen to exactly what you want :) also she talked me out of bangs bc she knows I am struggling with it

I have naturally dark brown hair (almost black) and Brooke is the only stylist who can get my hair an ash blonde while maintaining the integrity! My hair always looks healthier after a full head of highlights with her. She's also the sweetest and funniest person I know, she will make you feel like a friend! I constantly get compliments on my color and will be a lifelong client. Greatest hair experience of my life!!

Ruined my blonde hair. It was silvery and fairly light. I came in looking for light, very cool toned blonde. After coming here, it looks worse than a 8$ box of drugstore hair dye. I did a better job at 15 on my own hair. It's extremely brassy and my hair is straight up FRIED now. They offered to tone my hair, which makes hair darker.... completely defeating the point of me coming in here, spending over 450$ and walking out looking worse. Don't bother contacting the owner, he doesn't care. Oh and my hair is choppy and looks like a 11 year old cut it. I'm embarrassed to walk around

I always have a bit of anxiety about getting my hair cut and making small talk, so I was trying to find the "right" salon and hairdresser ever since moving to Austin. It was fairly easy to get an appointment online - you do have to provide a bunch of info and create an account, but this seemed normal for hair salons when trying to schedule an appointment online.
The salon is tucked away in a corner behind other businesses and has a small parking lot. The place itself has a pleasant modern aesthetic. I went on a Saturday morning and there was only one other customer while I was there

This is my 2nd visit to Path Salon. Love the mid-century modern interiors and they were very conscious of social distancing and mask wearing which I really appreciated. The vibe is super relaxed and chill.
Achlie my stylist is just beyond wonderful. My first visit she had to do a major overhaul on a botch color job I had done at a different place and this 2nd visit she has again done wonders with my hair. I am her forever client!

Jayda did such an amazing job with my perm. She knew exactly what I was aiming for by beach waves. I had a perm before and it was dreadful!!! My boring straight hair turned into life! I am happy to finally have found someone who knows how to do a perm. My curls are so beautiful and I feel like a whole new woman. Thank you again Jayda and I look forward to the hair mask. :)

OMG I love this place after just one visit! I had the loveliest hair appointment here! I booked my appointment through Yelp. I had the amazing, talented, charming, and funny hair stylist James. I went in for a hair donation/ coloring.

I was able to get an appointment through Yelp the day of. I sent a request around 6am and I came in at 10am. It was really fast and convenient.
PARKING
There were plenty of spots open when I came in. It's at an awkward angle but it's no problem at all :)

I was about 20-30 minutes early. I let them know about my hair appointment

I chose Path Salon based on their location and reviews and was VERY happy with my experience! Peyton did my cut and color. She is amazing!! I loved how she listened but also made recommendations while taking her time with both my color and shaping my cut (my hair is very thick and curly). I would have expected to pay twice what I did so not only will you get great service and results but you won’t break the bank in the process!
