Local favorite family-owned and operated pizzeria, Bisonte Pizza Co., was named Charlotte's "Best Wings" many times over. It's no surprise why: Owners and brothers Jim and Steve DaPolito are from Buffalo, NY - original home of the Buffalo wing. The wing that won is the most popular on their menu, Charbroiled Original BBQ and Bourbon BBQ.
The DaPolito brothers have perfected the art of making them by tossing the cooked wings in sauce, charbroiling them, then tossing in sauce again. Bisonte specializes in Buffalo-style pizza, pasta' subs' salads' and wings, and uses family heirloom recipes that have been honed to perfection as they have been passed down through generations.

Services
Bisonte (Bis-on-tay) means "buffalo" in Italian. Don't worry, we didn't know either at first. But it couldn't be a better name for an Italian place owned by two brothers who grew up in Buffalo, NY. Jim and Steve DaPolito brought their best family recipes down with them to North Carolina. Bisonte's pizza sauce is just like their father used to make, and their dough recipe has been tried and true over the years.
Our pizza dough is made fresh and it's never frozen. We take pride in all our ingredients and toppings. In fact, we hand select all ingredients that go into our meals - even if it means we have to import them from Italy to get the highest quality. Bisonte's best steak pizza with three cheeses, mushrooms, onions and hot or sweet peppers.

My order was 45 minutes late, but that’s because the Bills are playing tonight & this is authentic Buffalo pizza.
Pizza and wings are always fantastic- I’m never disappointed. The staff is always super nice and friendly. They’re very apologetic when an order is running late.
As a transplant from western New York, it’s like a little slice of home.

I want to start by saying that my lower rating has nothing to do with the food. I order from Bisonte every Sunday during football season. I love their food.
It’s their service that is seriously lacking. I always order well in advance because I know they’re busy on game days. I have never, NEVER, been able to go in and have my food ready. I ALWAYS have to wait. Last week (Wild Card weekend) was just awful. What was supposed to be a 45 minute wait from order placement, turned into an hour and a half. Tonight, however, took the cake. I ordered my food at 5. I was told it would be an hour. I arrived

Due to a special, Uber Eats sponsored dinner on Monday, 12-6-21. This was my first encounter with this restaurant.
I ordered the steak bomber hot sub & fresh cut fries. I'm a fry lover & usually am judging the restaurant by their fries if I'm ordering them.
The order was super late. I'm not sure if it was because of the restaurant, Uber Eats, or what. The sub was still a good temperature, probably because it was wrapped well in foil. The fries on the other hand was a big disappointment & a waste of money. I grabbed a few from the top of the container before I started on the sub. They were lukewarm

The rating directly reflects the rude and unprofessional service I received over the phone. Short story short, I ordered Uber eats and all items weren't delivered. Called to inform them and was randomly told to come and get it and was hung up on. Totally nullifying the purpose of delivery I told the rude person before "it" clicked me. I immediately called back and then I heard huffing and puffing and phone eyes rolling. I pushed the issue to see how unprofessional the person would become. Scale of 1-10 it was a solid 9 on the rude scale. Issue was left unresolved but I felt redeemed

Awful experience with the manager, very very mean guy wouldn't allow me to get my correct order and got in my face, I've always ordered the same thing for years so being told that I could not get my same order was really upsetting and I ended up not getting anything! Very disappointed, I will be going to the other location!

Very disappointed to say the least. I ordered the Tuesday pizza special, cheese and pepperoni. They were real short on the cheese(when you see more sauce than cheese it is really bad for a $20pizza). Then I ordered chicken wings crispy, the receipt even says it, to my surprise they were barely done, and I had to put them in the air fryer. When I placed the order I informed them I had a loyalty coupon for the wings. Charged me full price(I called and asked and I was informed you couldn’t combine with a special, that’s fine just inform the customer before charging them). My husband came in to

Won't say her full name! M (person who took the order over the phone) got the order incorrect. Lucky we went inside as soon as we got there to check on the order. We live an hour away. They provided car delivery. The pizza and wings were excellent. If you're like me & like the flat end it was like 40 to 10. I will continue to recommend this restaurant!!!

Bisonte Pizza always has fantastic service to partner with the best pizza in the area. I stopped in to grab a couple of slices of pepperoni pizza along with introducing a coworker. He fell in love on the first bite. Their Buffalo chicken pizza is also one of the best I’ve ever had. And they even have loganberry!

Pizza is ok. Service - the collection of teens working the counter ABYSMAL! Waited for 30 minutes for my pizza that was ready but mislabeled. When I brought it to the attention of the manager he said 'oh sorry.' Pizza was Cold as ice when I got home.
Also while standing around waiting ... I think I saw some gross PDA between two of the teens working by the kitchen ... nope. No thanks. Go to pizza exchange - much more efficient!

Probably best wings in Charlotte area. Key to ordering the wings is order them "from the pit" (sauced, charbroiled, sauced again) Something cool they offer not on their menu is a Pickle Pizza, it's good. Great wings but definitely the best Bleu Cheese sauce in the country. They should sell that in bottles and they could bank.

I am a Rochester native and have made a point to try out all of the food in the Charlotte area from Western New York. This is another place that did not disappoint! I have been to the uptown location, but with kiddos it is hard to make it uptown nowadays. We ventured out to Matthews to give it a try and watch the bills game. The restaurant is definitely filled with bills fans, and if you want the Sunday ticket this is the place. Definitely not the typical bills crowd, but can still be a little loud! I really appreciate them showing the games!

I liked the pizza we had today at Bisonte. It was Buffalo style, whatever that means. I just know it was a tasty dough.
They had more than your average selection of bottled beer but no draft.
I'd say it was a bit on the pricier side but overall a good pie.
Would like to try the subs and pasta next time.
