We have recently had a death and we were making arrangements with Collins for a cremation, services etc. But the cost of the cremation was very very high and we found that the hospital uses a service for cremation that was a 1/4 of the price. We couldn't have afforded everything at Collins prices. We were still going to use them for services, funeral etc UNTIL THEY CHIDED AND LAUGHED AT the daughter of the deceased for using another cremation service! We discontinued all business with them. And shame on them!

This funeral home is one of the originals and never changes. Consistency to a tee. We were lucky our mother had done pre-planing to help with the costs. Andrew was very helpful in arranging our mothers wishes with a few tweaks. He made sure we had the obituary in on time, arranged a special request and took care of things for donations to charities for us. He also put together an amazing photo slide show that warmed all our friends and families hearts. He took some of the weight off our shoulders and allowed us time to grieve. A couple of minor mistakes, but no big deal. We would work with them

My family has dealt with Collins through many deaths and burials. The
Skidd family (and the others) have gone out of their way in every sense of
the word to make an awful time be more comfortable and bearable. Two services involved working with out of state funeral homes and everything went smoothly. They took care of both graveside services and funeral home memorials for us with compassion and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
