Excel Martial Arts offers a safe, enriching and satisfying experience for students of all ages, both young and old alike. Our kids karate classes are based in the Shotokan Karate style and offer different age groups classes to challenge and help your child progress. Starting at age 4, your child will be among other new students at a similar skill level.
Our Krav Maga classes, are for students 12 years and up, as well as for karate students Level 4 and 5. We also offer Nun-chaku and Bo staff classes. Services
All Excel Martial Arts Memberships now include virtual training in addition to in person Dojo training. All memberships at Excel Martial Arts include access to both studio training AND virtual training for your convenience. All scheduled classes, except where noted, will be offered as both virtual and in person dojo classes.
Teaching a young child martial arts is a great way to introduce valuable life skills in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. In this program your child will be exposed to positive social inter-action. He or she, will learn how to work with others and follow directions from their instructors. This program focuses on improving motor skills and listening skills, as well as building his or her character.
Continue to develop your child's skills with confidence and respect in a nurturing and encouraging environment. This program is an Educational, Black Belt Program that will give your child the discipline needed to study complete home- work and ORGANIZE their time wisely. The program will help your child DEVELOP PHYSICALLY and EMOTIONALLY, while increasing his or her CONFIDENCE and LEADERSHIP qualities.
Develop and maintain physical conditioning and mental clarity through practice and discipline. KARATE is an excellent way to get fit, and lose extra pounds and beat out negative stress, PLUS, you get to interact with the nicest people, and share collective goals. Classes are designed within a structure of modern progressive athletic components, wellness and health.
Learn to avoid and anticipate attacks, develop situational awareness and become more physically fit through Krav Maga conditioning and kickboxing fitness training. My son had an amazing time at the summer camp. I asked him what he did that day and he told me nunchucks, how to build legos into certain objects, karate punches, and how to get flexible. The instructors were very happy to make the kids smile and have a great time. He told me his favorite thing he did was play dodgeball and make new friends. I can’t wait for next summer! Definitely worth trying out!

Worse summer camp my kids have ever attended. The activities stated on the website that were included were exaggerated. The kids just played with each other and played with toys while the sensei worked on his computer. The kids never did karate. This is just a expensive baby sitting service. I will never take my kids there again.

My daughter started karate when she was 2.5 yr old when we were living in Henderson. Once we moved to summerlin, we've been looking for a good teacher and dojo for long time until we found Sansei Nick! The best thing we like is he teachs more what need to do in real life when kids meet stranger or they are in danger instead of just regular kata or sparring.

This is the best studio! My 4 year old son loves it. Its helped his confidence and physical development. Sensei Nick is compassionate and truly loves the students and the art. Hes tough on the training yet the kids love it. I'm impressed by his ability to engage kids of all ages from 4-18 years old. All the students get along and help each other. He has amazing parties for the students and it really shows how much he cares. I highly recommend this place to everyone. All his helpers are awesome as well. Thank you sooooo much Sensei for all that you do!!!

My daughter likes Sensei's sense of humor. He is professional, kids learn so much, and he knows how to motivate them. I'm impressed with the variety of training/practice he offers. My daughter LOVES the monthly parents night out. It involves lots of fun physical activities. Perfect for high energy kids!

My sons started Shotokan Karate and Krav Maga year ago and I have nothing but good things to say. The instructors are amazing, the owner (also instructor) is extremely patient. My sons have learned so much in a short period of time. If you want to be truly trained in martial arts, bring yourself here. The instructors take the time to make sure you are building basics before moving on to more complicated movements. The instructors are knowledgeable and explain each movement accurately and emphasizes on each step helping you fine-tune your technique. The personalized attention given to each student

I signed my 3.5 year old son up not knowing what to expect and I was beyond thrilled by the end of the first day.
He has so much fun and has learned so much in such a short amount of time. His body awarness and strength have improved greatly and he absolutely loves his teachers. I highly recommend Excel for any child especially the young ones.
