My friend and I signed up on the same day and paid first and last months (she also wrote a complaint on this thread which you can read under Brenda Chavoya). Like many others, they failed to mention the annual fee and I know you will direct me to the “fine print”. Here’s the thing…I’ve been in sales for 20 years and have done well for myself and I like to think it’s because I make sure my clients understand what they are getting and to be aware of contractual agreements. I don’t rush them through the on boarding process to get their money and hope they understand. I appreciate transparency

My wife and I had a membership at this gym before we moved and we loved it. After we canceled our membership and moved, I noticed that we were still getting billed for our membership months after we had canceled. I called the gym and spoke with the manager, Amanda, who was able to finally cancel my membership and contacted corporate to get me a full refund on the past couple months. This was a mistake and Amanda was able to take care of this for me in a timely manner. Thank you again!

Hi, I've been a member for more than 3 years now.
I love this place as it's staff is very welcoming and friendly.
I am impressed how they keep the place clean and it's sanitization stations are always full of cleaning supplies, which is an important feature to keep the place germs free.
I fully enjoy working out there.

I bought a membership for my daughter, she used it rarely. I decided to cancel the membership and went into the office to cancel. I received the paperwork stating cancelled. 2 months later I am still getting billed. I called the office and they said they had no record. I informed them I have a copy of my cancelation, but all I received was the person who did this no longer works there. Rating this 5 stars specifically because of trainer Joe Cabezuela. I’ve been working out 4-5 days/week for 23 years and, due to working full-time and health & fitness for several years, I’ve experienced personal training from 12-15 different trainers. I checked out this gym because I was sick of how overcrowded and aggressive the night crowd at 24 hour castle hills was. These gyms are like a mile away from each other and this one is so much better in terms of crowd and staff professionalism. I've been at 24 for years and after a tour I was ready to switch to this gym. It's a no frills older gym but all the equipment I needed was present and worked perfect, so no complaints here. Only thing I wish were different were later hours on weekends.

I wish there was a planet fitness close by. There's no social distancing; people still not wiping the machines down after use and the floors and machines are nasty. The only thing good about this place is possibly the price and location convenience. No real issues with the staff other than they could be cleaning off machines and making sure people are socially distant. I get surveys often, but I don't see any changes!!!

I'm adding this business to my list of top businesses of 2020 because it was essential for me to workout. Once they were able to reopen, I've been here 5-6 times a week. Working out has been the stress relief, immunity builder,and confidence booster I needed this past year.
The pros about this location is that it is not intimidating which is great for beginners. There is plenty of parking and the place is never that crowded.

Don't ever join TX Family Fitness. If you cancel your membership they still charge you and will not give any grace. If call "corporate" no one helps you - each person talk to says will escalate to a Mgr. Never happens. There is no compassion for pandemic. I get it - they are a business and need to collect. But ridiculous to not follow up or "help" in any way. There is always "someone" that can override a "policy". Ridiculous to charge the annual fee even though cancel.

We had enjoyed going 2-3 times per week pre-Covid, but had to cancel our membership once we decided this was going to last awhile. They cancelled my husband's, but not mine. He went to the gym, talked w/ a guy at the desk, who assured him he'd take care of cancelling and refunding my monthly fee. He did not let me leave the gym that day until I signed up with him; he made me soo uncomfortable. Run as fast as you can away from this gym!!!!!!!!!!! I was charged double for my membership two months in a row and no one at corporate could figure out why. By the way they are the worst!!! Tara and Nicole are the names. Yes I remember. They take days to call you back if they even call back. I was also charged for the annual fee even though I cancelled my membership!!!!! My suggestions are find another gym and cancel your credit card to keep them from stealing your money!

After the gyms shut down I did a guest pass for the one in coppell but this one is closer to me so I drove in the freaking pouring rain to try this one out before making my decision to join and they turned me away saying I needed to drive to coppell since I signed over there. i could understand if they were busy but it was pretty dead and I wanted to try this one out since it would be the one I would sign with but needless to say I Won't be signing up with this facility..

They charge and charge. if they charge and it doesn't go through they immediately do it again so now you have 2 bounce charged fees for same transaction. and as previous comments "there is nothing we can do" and you will hold for corporate if you can reach them with their ridiculous corporate hours. We put in a cancellation form in Oct. We had good intentions but never used the membership. We were not told we had to give a 30 day notice to cancel. (Apparently it is in the agreement we signed several years ago.) I kept getting notices voicemails and text messages that my membership would cancel if I didn't make a payment. No big deal, we wanted it to cancel, we filled out the cancellation form. Finally I got tired of being harrassed and called them back to see why it hadn't cancelled. I'm definitely not the type of person that remains interested in exercising, it takes a few different routines to keep me on track. With classes like Zumba, PiYo, and Insanity, TFF keeps you busy with alternating workouts. When you're done with the classes, hop back on the bike or do some strength training!

Not a good gym if you have kids. They don't pay attention to the kids. My son ended up defecating himself because they wouldn't let him go to the bathroom when he asked several times. He was 4. He was so upset that he wasn't able to keep holding it. As I was leaving I heard another little boy asking to go to the bathroom as well and the teacher completely ignored him.

No upsale intimidation! I explained my personal reasons for joining TFF, and the mgr did not try to forcefully push more. He simply advised of the other options and upgrades available, and moved on. He even showed me the weights I could use for the areas of body improvement I mentioned. My only con, is that there is no wifi. However, there are tv's on each cardio machine that can be tuned to your device for person listening. Also, be sure to verify a discount membership with your company.
