I’m very disappointed with my experience at this salon. I will not name the hair stylist because she was actually really nice, but my hair turned out pretty horrible. Long story short - I had an appt here almost a month ago. My hair was ashy blonde for years then I went back to dark brown the beginning of the year so I already knew that doing balayage again (to go back ashy) would be a process.. totally fine with me. I would like to say that the color was pretty bad at the end of my appt, but the color wasn’t even the main issue it was the technique. I’ve seen the balayage process at least

Would give 10 stars if I could. I am super picky about my hair and usually have disappointing cuts/colors no matter how hard I try to communicate what I want as precisely as possible and not matter how honest I am with myself about what my hair's actual potential is for a look.

I simply cannot recommend Alyssa enough. A real professional and she knew exactly what I wanted AND THEN SOME when I didn't have the vocabulary to define what I was looking for. I don't even live in Denver, I was there for work when I got my haircut by Alyssa. I'm going back to Denver for a trip and I tried to book another haircut with her while I was in town because she's THAT GOOD. Unfortunately there were no appointments available. But she's worth every penny. Book with her for sure.

Alyssa Kitson might be new to Denver and Deseo Salon, BUT she's definitely NOT new to the hair game. She took her time to talk to me about what I wanted, she considered my hair texture and how I like to style my hair. We considered layers and the length of the framing around my face and also the fact that I wear my hair naturally curly too.
Honestly everyone it's been over a year since I've gotten a haircut and for Alyssa to do such and awesome job, it say it was worth the wait is an understatement.

Deseo Salon and Blowdry is a wonderful salon, situated in Lo-Hi; the atmosphere; whether on a cold dark day or gorgeous one is always beautiful, calm and warm, due to the floor to ceiling windows when you walk in. Deseo is modern and hip, the chairs and tubs and hairdryers are all comfy, new and stylish! My hairdresser Heather Mahoney is a total pro, she has been doing hair for two decades. She can do long or short cuts, thin or thick hair and she is amazing with color. She can do dramatic or subtle work and she can correct color. Saw Alyssa and she was amazing! Super professional and talented and dedicated to giving her clients the best experience. She can translate what you want even if you don’t know how to properly articulate it. My first visit and I’m happy to say that I found a new home for my hair care needs! And the salon is adorable! Clean and comfortable and in an adorable neighborhood. Can’t recommend enough!

So, I had a total hair disaster at another salon prior to coming to Deseo, and I had no idea what I was gonna do. I'm from Monument, so I searched everywhere in Monument and the Springs for hair salons, but every salon was either booked out, or I wasn't impressed by them. I came across Deseo, and Mallory was able to book me an appointment with Alyssa Kitson (thank GOD!!!). When I got there, I was so impressed by how clean, beautiful, and chic the inside of the building was. I knew right away that I would be in good hands

I haven't been to many nice salons and I've never done anything different with my hair. I decided to get bangs and they helped me decide how long and what else to make it look like it flowed well. She also showed me how to dry/style them since I'd never had them before.

First, I do not go out of my way often to do reviews on local businesses but I was appalled by the behavior of the owner of Deseo Salon, Sherry. Funny that they call themselves "Deseo Salon and Blowdry." I have already read another review, including my own where they refuse to style and blow dry your hair.

Deseo is on it as far as following COVID regulations. I felt safe, temperature taken, and everyone was wearing masks, gloves and spaced appropriately. I saw Kira (who is AMAZING!) She is truly a blonde haired girls goddess. She took my quarantine hair and made it beautiful as always. Would recommend this place to anyone I know in the Denver area!

The rating does not reflect the customer service. However the haircut was a flop. Came in for a simple blunt cut, and when I got home and others saw my hair it turns out the cut was uneven.
I felt there was something wrong when I pointed out my hair was uneven and then the chop chop to even it out started. Anyway, hair grows.

Situated on the street corner in the Jefferson Park neighborhood, Deseo is wonderful salon with knowledgeable and friendly staff. I've been coming here for a few years now after following my hair dresser, Ann here. Ann listens and knows my hair. Honestly she'll get to know anyone's hair and listen to what you want. She likes when you take risks too, but will still make sure it's a risk you're comfortable with too. I am simple when it comes to my hair. Make it easy to take care of and lay nicely after air drying and I'm happy. But occasionally I'll dye my hair

Before coming here, I had purely damaged hair, to the point where it looked and felt like a broom! They recommended me to see Emily and it was LIFE CHANGING. My hair has never felt so nourished, soft, and shiny even with a previous bleach, perm, and another bleach job. Emily truly knows about hair with her 10+ years of experience and I am so so happy that I was paired with her! Thank you Deseo Salon for hiring such a talented woman. Yet not only does she know about hair, she is so nice and we always have the best conversations! I will miss her care and knowledge in my hair when I have to move.
