Unity Martial Arts Academy staff has been providing professional martial arts training in Las Vegas for over 8 years. We are proud of our program and the success stories that go with it! Unity's programs and teachings have been responsible for training Black Belt students and many National Champions as we take great pride in our commitment to excellence.
Our Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool and school age children ages 3-5. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.

My daughter has been wanting to do martial arts for a while and I finally signed her up. It mattered to me where she went because I wanted to know that the instructors would also be good examples and leaders for my daughter. I wanted her to feel safe and excited to go each day and learn, and that's exactly what Unity has given us. The Johnson's are amazing and create such a safe and supportive environment for people of all ages to learn in. I appreciate that they really make the kids earn their belts and they enforce good behavior there, and at home. My daughter loves going. She never complains

My daughter started Taekwondo at this dojo in April and is excelling! The staff is family oriented and pushes the students to be their best. They also include the families so that the students can have support from their family and community. They also teach the students to help their community by volunteering or setting up drives.

This is a great place to send your kids,grandkids or yourself.It is very family oriented.The best instructors,their experience is above and beyond. I am so happy my daughter found this place for my grandson,he goes 4 days aweek and would go 7 if he could.Unity got him from playing video games,and something else to really look forward to.He gets exercise,deciple, integrity, self defense and has met a bunch of nice kids and grown ups that he looks forward to seeing.I also love to go and watch them learn and the family wecome you get just being there.Thank you UNITY and the JOHNSONS for making this

My son has autism and we were looking to put him in an activity that would help him interact with others. My mom suggested Tae Kwon do because I loved it as a kid.
I had no idea that a year later that not only has my son learned a skill and been able to come out of his comfort zone; but also my whole family found a second home. My son has grown out of his shell and done more than I could of expected.
Now myself, my other 2 kids, cousin, and nephew are all training here. Mr and mrs Johnson (owners of school), have always made us feel welcomed and truly showed they care about their students. The

We started bringing our 2 daughters here in the fall of last year because we wanted them to do keep physically active during covid. We tried one other place that we were not happy with. We chose to stay with Unity because they teach the more traditional Taekwondo that we were looking for. We have been happy with our experience here.

My son started taking classes here at the end of February. We searched and visited other martial arts studios around the valley but wasn't impressed with more than one reason. I used to do martial arts and knew what I was looking for in a studio for him. Our time here at Unity has been a wonderful experience and I know I've made the best decision for my son to be a part of this martial arts family. He loves going, looks forward to it and has yet to miss a class because of the passion he has for Tae Kwon Do. That passion came from having knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic instructors. During this time with pandemic I noticed that there were some ways that this school was not taking proper precautions. As they do their classes many of the students and trainers were not wearing masks. Also I'm pretty sure that they do not sanitize. First off that is unprofessional. According to the governor it is required. Feel free to disagree, but we are to be safe. Also, the way they talked to us was unprofessional.

I come from a background of 37 years in Tae Kwon Do, but I haven't trained for about 14 years. I was actually looking for a school for a child that was having some discipline issues, and because I was a child with discipline issues, I knew with the right instructors who worked with kids well, he would greatly benefit taking Tae Kwon Do. Thank goodness the first TKD school I went to turned him away, because then I found Unity Martial Arts. My family joined Unity Martial Arts Academy about 18 months ago. The instructors are amazing. On top of classes that are held 6 days a week, they are willing to assist the kids with anything they need - whether it is extra help before/after class or talk through challenges with school or friends. My son is about 6 months out from earning his black belt at just 8 years old (once he tests for it). We became part of the Unity Martial Arts family in August 2017. We moved to Las Vegas two weeks prior and were looking for a martial arts school for my oldest daughter. I have 2 daughters that are attending ages 8 & 13. They have been attending since February. Since day 1 we were welcomed with so much love and acceptance. Mr. Johnson connects with my girls individually and is very encouraging. The floor work is challenging and my girls are being trained to train for excellence and not be lazy on their performance. The atmosphere is respectful and in a few short months we feel as if we have always been there. Another thing I love is that there is no long term commitment contract, so we are able to be on a month by month commitment. We are enjoying our experience

We love Unity Martial Arts. We started in July of last year and it has been so exciting to watch both my kids growth. My son is 10 and my daughter is 8 and they both love it. My daughter is a more natural athlete and excels. My son has low vision and needs extra instruction. They are so good with that! They will make sure he's where he can see, reexplain new movements, and provide 1 on 1 instruction when needed. To see them grow more confident in themselves and their abilities has been wonderful. Plus it's family owned, which I love. They work so well with ALL of the kids. :)

Love Unity Martial Arts! This dojo is under new ownership as of June 2016 and it is a wonderful place to train. My daughter has trained under Master Johnson since 2015 and we followed him to Unity when he followed HIS dream to have his own dojo. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and the students not only learn a lot but have a lot of fun too. My 9 year old daughter has earned her blue/red belt and is focused on getting her black belt.
