Zinke Hair Studio is an award winning, family owned Aveda Lifestyle Salon with two convenient locations: Boulder's 29th Street Mall and Denver's Washington Park. This women run business is owned and operated by mother, Jolene Zinke, and daughter, Megan Robertson. In 2006 Megan attended the Aveda Institute of Denver and fell in love with hair color and all things Aveda.

Our Boulder location is where Zinke began. Nestled at the foot of the beautiful flatiron mountains is The Twenty Ninth Street Mall where our salon lives up on the second level. Being on the second floor of the mall provides us with breath taking views of these Boulder mountains. We have been here for 9 years and are always updating our space.
Zinke expanded to open a second location in December of 2018. We were so excited to be able to bring what we do to the Denver scene. Our Denver salon is located in the Wash Park area of Denver. With shampoo chairs that provide heat and massage, your shampoo experience will be ultra relaxing. Also an Aveda Lifestyle salon, our team here delivers the very best in exclusive Aveda services.

It was my first time at this salon so I didn't know what to expect but they exceeded my expectations. It was so clean, they are so kind, so responsive through text leading up to my appointment. I love that they have appointments later in the evening too. Ray was one of the best stylists I've been to. She made sure I was happy with the length and was so cognizant of what I wanted. I can't wait to go back for the next cut.

Love this place! the space is in a great location and the salon is super clean and cute with lots of nice touches that make your visit feel extra comfortable and luxurious. service prices are totally fair and I love the way my hair has turned out with each stylist I’ve seen. I have difficult to color hair and they took care of it beautifully- it looks awesome. from booking and the moment you walk in the door, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel pampered and relaxed, and their stylists make time to listen and make sure you’re getting what you need to feel your best. 10/10 recommend

Ray was the perfect sunshine I needed for my recent haircut. She was attentive, easy to talk to, and had an extremely positive vibe!
Setting up and going to this cut was a bit of an emotional experience for me so seeing a genuinely kind soul was essential. The last time I stepped in a hair salon, over a year ago, I got the news my grandparents were in the hospital with covid. It may sound strange to others but it’s been hard for me to lose one of my “lasts”. The last time I got my hair cut, grandpa was still here.
Anyways I finally mustered the courage to go and upon researching options

I’m really impressed with Zinke hair salon! I had a really great experience this evening. Really nice salon, was welcomed with tea and a wonderful massage. I could not have had a better experience. Ella gave me exactly what I was looking for and was very thorough in asking questions to make sure it looked how I wanted it to. She answered every question I had about products, styling, and even hair care in general. She was very professional but more importantly extremely talented. I couldn’t be happier with how my hair turned out I will be returning for her to color my hair as well as for every haircut until I graduate. For reference I have long fine hair but moderately thick. I just had the Global keratin treatment done. The stylist applied the chemical very sparingly to my hair. My roots are what needed the most attention as I had a lot of new growth and hadn't had keratin treatment done in over a year given covid, and that's where she applied it to the least. The very top of my hair was practically untouched. She started applying it at least a 4 inches from the root. When I asked her about applying it to the root, she said the solution would creep up to the top as she combed it through. This hasn't been my experience before when getting keratin

I had such a stellar experience at Zinke Salon today and I have to share. First of all, they took every precaution during the pandemic, and I felt extremely safe and cared for the entire time. Every staff member was attentive and friendly. They were super kind and they made sure I felt very comfortable! Booked an appointment for a cut and highlight via email. There was no online booking option for the service I wanted. No big deal. Seven emails later, it was my understanding an appointment had been scheduled. Waited a few days but never saw a confirmation email. Didn't think too much of it. I made an appointment online for late in the day before I had to leave the country in the morning. When I got to my appointment, I was told that the online system to make reservations doesn't work so I didn't have an appointment.

Went to get bangs and got a horrible result. I showed her a picture and got the worst "bangs" that she cut from the middle half of my head and made them too thick and out of place. Cannot even blend the length with the rest of my hair because she cut it too short. Thanks for the horrible experience.

Didn't have a hairdresser in mind, but I struck gold when I was scheduled with Danielle. I now get my routine partial blonde balayage and trim with her, and she does wonders lifting my hair in one session safely without it feeling fried. She gets my black asian hair to a great cool tone and does a beautiful soft balayage. Also does great haircuts to help lift my heavy hair. Update. Same rating - awesome and very accommodating salon as always, but I just need to make sure fellow men (and I'm sure she does great women's cuts too) know about Meryl Grace. She does a really good job with fades and trying to get the haircut to compliment that face it goes on. Few things please me more than a good hair cut and I just had to say something.
Only thing about the salon in general is that it is a bit expensive - but then again, I think all salons are. I've been used to barber shop prices. Be prepared to spend a decent amount over $30. But, they offer FREE touch

I've been going to Kiley at Zinke for almost one year now and I've never been happier with my hair! Kiley has color corrected and cut my hair, and most recently given me the most beautiful ashy balayage. I've gone to several stylists for this look, and none could pull it off like Kiley. She is amazing and comes highly recommended. She is also a super warm and fun person while you get your hair done for a couple hours! The owners of the salon -- Megan and Jolene -- are wonderful as well. Zinke deserves 5+++++ stars!

I always loved zinke and have gone there for 5 years, but after my last haircut, I will not be back! When I arrived there for my appointment, they said they had nothing scheduled for me. I get it, mistakes happen- but then they said they had no record of me in their system despite me being a customer there for YEARS! The front desk girl was really not that helpful, but they did end up working me in with my usual girl. The whole hair cut felt rushed and made me feel like a major inconvenience. Got a baylage for an education day and it was exactly what I was looking for! It's very rare that what you picture in your head is what the hairdresser delivers and that's exactly what I got! I've rarely liked a haircut on day one- but this cut was different. Alexus did exactly what I asked and it came out beautifully. I always get nervous going to a stylist I've never seen, especially one labeled as "new talent" and am very glad to say that Alexus proved me wrong.
