When my original stylist canceled on me just a few days before my wedding I was in a bit of a panic to find another salon. I'm not from the area so I relied on reviews to find Sonar Beauty for my hair and makeup needs, and I'm so glad I did! They were so accommodating and worked with my schedule to get me in for hair and makeup on my wedding day.

I used Sonar Beauty for hair and make-up for myself (bride), 3 bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and sister of the bride. We had the salon as well which was very convenient and super cute place to get ready! Felicity did all airbrush makeup which looked absolutely flawless on all of us (age range 30 - 68 years old). It looked natural and held up all day! Ashley did all our hair and she did a fantastic job! I gave her an impossible hairdo which she made my hair look amazing! Kristan did my hair and makeup for my micro-wedding and she was awesome! She was super easy to work with and great about listening to what I wanted and changing things as needed. I am so happy with how my look turned out and the photos look amazing. We're planning to have a bigger reception post-covid and I will definitely use Sonar Beauty again if they're available!

Sonar was absolutely fantastic in taking care of me, my mom, and bridesmaids on my wedding celebration day! Due to COVID, my husband and I had to postpone our celebration. The salon was more than accommodating and was more than happy to help us move our day and take care of us. Jessica did a phenomenal job in being flexible and making me feel so beautiful on my day! Not to mention, the salon is such a cute nook to have the bridesmaids hangout at while you are getting your hair and makeup done. I am so excited to see the pictures and look back on such a fun and memorable day!

Rachel did my hair and make up for my wedding and I was SO impressed! I don't wear make-up and I am super picky. I usually hate it when I get my make-up done, but figured I should probably do it on my wedding day for pictures. I was so so so happy with my make-up on my wedding day. Kristan was the absolute best!! She arrived on time, got everyone done quickly and we all looked amazing! My bridal party didn't even have pictures for her to go off of. She just made it up all on the spot!
Before the wedding day, I was really worried about the timeline and if she will have enough time but it all went fantastic! She told me not to worry too much and that she got it and yes she did! I'm so happy that we had her there to make our wedding day even better! Definitely recommend! :)

Had a wonderful experience with Kristan and her team on my wedding day. She & one other girl came out- they were on time, professional, sweet, and made everyone's hair look excellent. They were able to come on-site to my venue in Wimberley, saving us the hassle of having to find somewhere nearby and allowing us to have some much needed relaxation before the festivities kicked off. Would definitely recommend her for your wedding needs!

Nope! Okay y'all! Don't do it! Worst annoying experience ever. I had the owner Kristen try to do my hair and I brought in my own take in extensions in and she left most of the blond out then made me buy another pack of Brown. Craziness! She calls todsy and says they hair they are not in supposedly on brown back order but I'm supposed to go tomorrow and dye my roots to blend it and go back again for tape more brown hair another day & 100$ hourly rate. Brown hair never on back order. She does not know ho layer hair just chop it off. Do not go there you will get taken advantage

Brooke and Elena are awesome! Elena did my bridesmaids hair, they all loved it and Elena really tried to do what each one wanted. She was also very fast. Brooke did my hair and make up and I could not have loved it more. My hair was beautiful, she changed it up a little from my trail but I loved it even more. My make up was spectacular and it looked great all night and most importantly, it didn't look cakey. I am really happy to have booked with them and 100% recommend brides to do so too. My heart is heavy when writing this review because generally the people were really sweet. Although,I can't help in being cheated of my group on and disappointed in the results for balayage. I visited Elena Evans who mentioned nothing prior to the group on (for balayage and a hair trim) that I would need to get it toned. I showed her a picture of the look I wanted and she quickly proceeded dying my hair. She avoided dying the bottom half and focused on the crown of my head, so I ended up like this: (refer to pictures below). Also, instead of the roots being dark and the bottom lighter it was

She's done a great job getting my hair back to blonde Street I dyed it brown a while back. She really is a color genius!
I love her pretty little salon on the south side. It's pretty and comfortable and g the sound track is always great.

I got married and had Sonar Salon and Kristan Humphrey do hair & make up for my mother, 4 bridesmaids, and myself. I regret this decision and I warn other brides to find another salon.
I just got my wedding photos back and although my bridesmaids hair looks acceptable, my entire wedding album is practically ruined by my hair. It honestly looks dirty, looks ratty, and looks NOTHING like the pictures I gave her to mimic for my wedding or bridal shoots. I am shocked at how bad my hair looks. I am including pictures so everyone can understand.

Kristan was incredible to work with! This was a destination wedding, so I went to Sonar for a trial just a few days before the big day. Although I was having Kristan do only my hair on the actual day, on the day of the trial she did both my hair and makeup because I was having super-late-in-the-game engagement photos taken afterwards. She did such an amazing job! She was also super sweet and friendly, didn't seem put off at all by my awkward shyness like some people tend to be. :)

I absolutely LOVE my hair! Kristen re-did an ombre I had done months before at another salon. The blonde is bright, the color flows evenly and the tone is perfect. My hair is naturally dark but Kristen really did magic on my hair to get the color exactly the way I wanted and extremely close to the picture I showed her. I will definitely be going back for touch ups and a cut.
Btw....The salon is super cute and love the decor. Kristen was very sweet and really listened to what i wanted.. Satisfied and happy customer! :)
