I'm not one to leave a review but this is the best hair cut I've ever received. Erica is a hairstylist with an artistic eye. She really cares about the integrity of your hair and communicating the best options for it. Finally someone I can trust with my hair! Somehow my hair feels longer and thicker after cutting off two inches!

Super grateful to have found OB Waves and Erica! Erica really took the time to explain and discuss the haircut before we started, making sure I was clear on what I wanted and what she would be doing. I switched over to OB Waves salon a little over a year ago and I’m so glad I did! Mandy is a magician with hair and I am so happy with her work. I have brown highlighted hair, but started getting patches of gray. My previous hair stylist tried to “blend” my gray hair but you could still totally see it and I was never happy and always embarrassed to wear my hair up. Mandy got my hair looking exactly like I wanted with highlights but completely covered the grays! I am so happy with Mandy and OB waves and won’t be going anywhere else.

I went to Mandy in April (this is a little late, but now that I'm ready to re-book...) for a balayage correction (orange - yikes!) and a cut. She did a great job asking me questions and gathering information in a way that didn't pressure me, but more so for her to help best assess what I was looking for. I've actually never had that happen. It was a great experience. Also, I loved that there was no pressure to buy products!

Writing this review a couple weeks later but I'm absolutely loving my cut and balayage by Many! I had a lot of fun with this new style as it was my first time putting color in my hair. Mandy was so great and patient and helpful. The coloring looks so natural and blends into my hair perfectly. Thankyou mandy!

I absolutely love the work Mandy does on my hair. I finally found my gal in OB after 6 years of hit or miss salons around the county. Super professonal, consultative, listens and executes exactly what you ask for. I've been strictly staying at home the last year but going to this salon during these unprecedented times felt comfortable and safe. I highly recommend you try them out.

Recently, I got my hair cut and balayage done by Mandy and, I am obsessed. I am super picky with my hair so trust me when I say, I am a harsh critic. She did an AMAZING JOB !!!!! The price was totally reasonable, the salon is very clean, obvious Covid protections as well. I am super happy with my service and I will definitely return. Thank you !!!!

Coming here once a week is one of the most joyful moments of my week. Now, some may think "wow, what a sad life..." First, you're an a**hole. Second, I have plenty of joyful moments throughout the week: sunny days, basketball, time with my friends, the community I serve, sea otter videos on Instagram, Ambrosia's "Biggest Part of Me," and... of course going to the OB Waves Salon. Erica's taken great care to provide a clean and serene environment! She knew just how to work with my naturally curly hair for a long-overdue haircut (outdoors) during Covid quarantine. I will never go anywhere else! Mandy was able to save my hair and give me an amazing balayage! She listened to what I wanted and gave me options on what I could realistically get done (since I was trying to get rid of the blue), which I really appreciated. She was so patient and explained everything she was doing as she went. I can honestly go on and on. I can't wait to come back!

I'm so grateful I found Erica when I moved to OB last year! Every time I see her I completely trust her opinion and know she will let me leave looking fresh as ever! I have a lot of hair and appreciate the fact that she never rushes and takes her time on me even though I take three hours of her time every time I'm there!

Sarah is my ONLY go-to. Period.
I have white hair and a little pepper(hate the pepper). So, she match's it. White, not brassy orange...blonde, WHITE BLONDE this is San Diego, beachy hair. Love it! Love her! She's an artist, so if your asking for a "pixie" that's your call. I love how she treats my long, blonde, beautiful locks with organic color...I almost don't want to review, secrets out! Gloves out! Lol
As far as major haircuts...go to the barber! Or a shrink! But for beachy, organic color Sarah is my lady, Mom and friend... peace! Mahalo!
