NEED A MECHANIC? MATT'S SMOG IS THE PLACE TO GO!
Matt was able to look at my van within 24 hours on the week of Christmas not to mention they then made me an appointment for Christmas Eve to get it fixed if he can't finish today he said I can come back on Monday to Finish and because he made room in his very busy schedule during Christmas holidays I will be able to have all three of my kiddos together and we will be able to go to church and do things together as a family. God bless Matt and his crew. Thank you for your dedication to your customers. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves a great one. I had never used Matt’s Smog, but they appeared to be the popular choice in Paso Robles. I called and spoke with a very friendly girl who was able to schedule me at my desired time. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and chose seats by a large rack filled with activities for kids. This probably means nothing to most, but any mother of young kids knows how quickly our little darlings can become little demons at service appointments. However, my daughter didn’t have time to get bored. Everything was done before we knew it

I was 200 miles from home when I developed fuel leak in my vintage Mercedes. I called 6 other places. Matt's had a drive on rack and agreed to repair the problem that day. Within an hour they were on the job. Thanks to Matt for taking on the problem, and special thanks to Eduardo who did an expert quality repair.

Before the hot summer weather, I took our 2005 SUV for air condition service. Matt showed me my dirty filter and gave me two options for replacement with price and told me the difference between the two. I was in and out within a reasonable time. Cherry on top, I had a coupon for ac service from Local Flavors. Thanks Matt, I'll definitely send business your way.

Professional, trustworthy, honest, reliable. They do way more than just smog cars, (although they are great at that!) I’ve been a customer of for many years now. They are family run and treat you like family. They really care and do a great job! I go to them for all my car maintenance needs. Unfortunately my experience here was horrible. Try and make a long story short. I took my vehicle to Matt's to get it smog-ed I told him the year and make of the vehicle and he said no problem bring it in. He had it for 4 days and couldn't get it smog-ed. Turned out he wasn't even allowed to smog my
vehicle since it had to be done by certified smog station and there is only ONE in SLO county. It's in San Luis Obispo. He charged me $150 and still wasn't smog-ed.

Just left this place and I couldn't be any more grateful than I am right now. I thought it was going to cost me a few hundred dollars but Matt is awesome and was very fair. More than fair! God bless this man. I also want to say, don't judge him on first impressions because he may seem very intense and not approachable but give him time. Very nice and great smile.
