Morgan Jones Funeral Home has been an icon in the Sacramento community for over sixty years. We provide personal service with the loving care your loved one deserves. Morgan Jones was started in 1948 at 12th & Q Streets in downtown Sacramento by Grace M. Jones and her brother William Morgan. He went on to become the first black Superior Court Judge in Sacramento, while Grace Jones continued to serve families at Morgan Jones Funeral Home.

My father passed away the day before Thanksgiving. The place he was at wanted a lot more money and I couldn’t afford there price. So I called this place. And spoke to Juntina (spelling might be wrong). I told her what was going on and that I was out of state and couldn’t afford to drive to CA. She said she understood, and that she could email me what ever I needed to sign etc. well she kept saying she was going to call me by the end of the day, which she never did. The worse EVER! THEY HAVE THE TENDENCY TO PRY ON THE GRIEVING FAMILIES!!! My brother died suddenly, I was in no condition to make sound choices during that moment. But I needed to make a quick decision to where my brother's corpse should stay until I could wear off the numbness/ shock and grief and make sense for his burial. The Sheriff assisted me by speaking to the funeral home. I thought about my son’s corpse being there ( wasn’t my choice ), a visitation from their office, I was informed that I had to pay for picking him up, each day of being refrigerated. We recently held my mother in laws memorial service @ Morgan Jones and their service, professionalism and kindness were outstanding. We were coming from the Bay Area and our loved one lived in Sacramento. Our FD Jautune was able to recommend excellent local service providers including a florist, minister and Repaste location that all did a tremendous job. The entire staff especially Shirley and Titus were courteous, understanding and great to work with. I highly recommend their services in your time of need.

M&J recommended us to a flower shop that had very good prices , they have a DVD player/tv so I was able to create a dvd slideshow of photos , they even followed my moms direction in not giving out too many/ or multiple obituaries . M&J very professional definitely recommend
