After relocating from NY and leaving behind my one trusted stylist I was so skeptical about using anyone new. But after a long quarantine and hair neglect I needed a mommy makeover. This is when I found Brian at studio Cabello! I wanted to change up my style completely. The last time anyone had dyed my hair it turned colors it shouldn’t have and it just wasn’t what I wanted. I've been here a few times. The care they take of my and my hair is exceptional. Bryan was fantastic this time. I left feeling, as cheesy as it sounds, as a new woman. I so rarely get to go to a salon and he was realistic about my style goals and what would be best for my bank account and my hair, but at the same time he was so polite and very easy to converse with. My full foil highlight, cut and blow out were such a treat. I felt great when my husband took me out to dinner. It's day two... And my hair still looks amazing with very little effort on my part. Highly recommend. Will visit them again

From the moment I called I felt so welcome! George was extremely patient as I listed the qualities I was looking for in a hairdresser. He matched me with Brian. Brian was personable, a great listener, caring, and totally understood my hair issues. He proceeded to deliver exactly the cut I was hoping for and a great blowout. I look forward to having him do my color for me next. He’s a real pro and a super nice guy, too. I’m glad I finally tried Studio Cabello!

Aaron at Studio Cabello Aveda is absolutely wonderful! I had a birthday party I was attending recently and booked an appointment with Aaron for a blowout. From washing and drying my hair, to curling it into picture perfect waves, it turned out absolutely fabulous. In fact, I had several people comment on my hair that evening! I've already informed Aaron that I will be booking appointments with him for special events as I have way too much hair to style myself!

The reason I choose Studio Cabello was it is suppose to be an Aveda concept salon. Which Aveda prides themselves, known for spa rituals incorporated into the hair services. With that being said, I expected the service to be a step above the other salons around town or anywhere for that matter.
Before my appointment- didn't receive a confirmation call or email, very unusual for a salon.
I was greeted nicely and offered a tea or water.
My stylist was very thorough and understood exactly what I wanted. Perfect :) After thé consult, no ritual was performed and my shampoo was mediocre.

Vicki is the best! If you want a hairdresser who listens to you, she's your girl. She is the first to describe to me my own hair as I think of it, yet asks what I want and like. She's just a really great person who knows how to style great hair! Can't wait until my daughter gets her first professional haircut done by Vicki!

I first started going to Elaine at Studio Cabello in 2006, right around the time that she first opened the shop. Over the years, we've had so much fun experimenting with new styles, from very short to very long. I've trusted her salon with my most important life events, from my wedding to my baby shower to job interviews. When my husband and I were stationed overseas I was still able to stay connected with Elaine, getting my hair cut when I visited, and getting advice when far too much time passed and I was just forced to go to someone in our local country. A hidden gem in Davis Island! My stylist moved from another Aveda salon in the area and I can't tell you how different the experience is at Studio Cabello. Everyone is very friendly and goes out of there way to make your experience special. Rachel Hagberg is awesome! She is great with color, cutting and blow drying and her main concern is making sure her customer is very happy and satisfied.

I used to go to this salon often when I lived on Davis Island a few years ago. I recently moved back to the area and, not sure what happened, but it is not nearly as good.
My husband got his haircut... 2 days later he went back because it was so horrid...they attempted to fix it but its a man's haircut, only so much you can do.
For my experiences, I tried sending 'George' the owner SEVERAL emails over several days because i received a confirmation to a hair appointment that had been rescheduled days earlier. Then I try calling the salon and am hung up on the first time and the

I love this place! Everyone friendly. It was like I'd been coming here for years. Rachel was awesome. I live in Portland and I'm down for the week. They didn't treat me like they weren't going to see me again. Great cut, great conversation... makes me wish I could take them back to PDX with me. I walked in, no appt. It was a gamble, and I feel like it paid off.

They did a wonderful colour, I dyed my hair dark a lot, and they were able to lift my hair from really dark to red, but i got a haircut from them, and I NEVER get haircuts because I never trust anyone with my hair. my hair was well past my elbow before they cut it, "one inch, and nothing more" I told them, when they hacked off three inches leaving me traumatised. never going there again.

I'm upset in having to write this review, however it needs to be known that this salon can NOT execute trendy hairstyles (their highest level stylist at that).
I was looking to go from my bright blonde to a warm blonde "tortoise shell/ecaille" look and instead I left with a red based brown and white tips. WORST thing ever after sitting there for 4:30 hours since she had already messed up after the first round of color/foils. The sad part is after 5 minutes of me explaining that this looks nothing like the picture I wanted (she thought it looked great), their fix was that they

I first went to Studio Cabello in 2009 for my very first coloring. I spoke in detail about what I wanted to achieve and what I did NOT want to happen. After spending every day of the summer working a beach job, I wanted my incoming hair to match the rest of my head. I did not want to look fake, frosted, or platinum. The Junior Stylist (Kara) worked with the owner/manager and they chose a formula and then applied it only to my roots. This formula blended with the rest of my sun-kissed, beach blond hair that I didn't need a toner. I had no band!

Based on what I wanted and what my hair already looked like, they recommended I go to London. I have really long hair and wanted short bangs. At the same appointment, I wanted gray coverage. That was it. I explained that I needed someone who would listen to me and do BOTH services on

Dawn is awesome! Knows how to match the style to your face shape & hair type. I have very thin hair that has some bounce & she nailed it....haven't had someone this good since I left SC 7 years ago....soooo many want to do a layered bob & that just doesn't work!!
Price is inline w/ other Aveda salons. They aren't full service but I get my massages/nails/facials/waxing elsewhere so not important to me.
