Established in 2006 by Dan Hensel, Amton Auto and Truck has been serving Western New York for 10 years. We've grown from a small, two-bay shop down the street to our large five-bay facility in the heart of Tonawanda. Amton auto is the only place I have been to that I feel confident in going back. As a pretty new driver it is nice to actually see what’s wrong and get a thorough breakdown of my vehicle. I have learned a lot so far from them and I appreciate their outstanding work.

I'm not a fan of this auto shop. They do decent work at a decent price. My issue is with the customer service. They are some of the most unfriendly curt people to deal with. The person at the front desk is particularly rude. She acts as if answering questions from customers is an inconvenience. They've apparently decided not to let people wait in the waiting room for their vehicles to be serviced. That's fine, I get it. It's still a very critical time with the pandemic. My issues is with not saying anything until the day of and they're standing there with no ride. Not to

I have been using Amton for several years now. In my opinion the level of customer service is unparalleled. It’s not often that a mechanic will pass up a service repair because they can save the owner money by recommending they take it to the dealer to have it done for free under warranty. I’ve even had it where I’ve had to inform the dealer about a bulletin issue Amton discovered that they were unaware of for their own product! The only thing greater than Amtons honesty is the quality. They always give me options on repairs that will fit my budget, and I have never had to bring my vehicle

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles here for the last couple of years and it is so nice to have the peace of mind knowing that we have a place like Amton we can go to that we trust, and whose professional standards are second to none. They are always honest and fair. I also love that I get a text message that breaks down not only all of the repairs needed, but how much each repair will cost -- it is an incredibly convenient feature!

I used this mechanic when he was working up Delaware a bit. I brought my car in when it wouldn't keep the battery charged"alternator was my guess" The honesty of the now owner,was refreshing.. apparently the alternator just became.unplugged.I will continue to refer everyone i know to his shop. FYI..this was a few years ago...made an everlasting impression

My appointment time for a NYS inspection time was honored and the inspection was completed in ½ hour as promised. Plus they reported on some other issues outside of the parameters of the inspection. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for service on my vehicle. The place was clean and the people friendly and professional. 5 stars!

Been having my vehicle serviced for the past 10+ years. Dan, Rachel and the staff are the finest in the auto business I've experienced and that includes dealerships, other independents, import auto repair shops, etc. They are not only thorough and conscientious in how they work and service cars, but they take the time to explain any possible service needed and also what was ultimately done. First rate company.

I brought my first diesel truck here about over a year ago for inspection, general engine maintenance, new tires. I am not too experienced with diesels but AmTon are always helpful in telling me what I need to know. They are up front and honest about what NEEDS to get fixed vs what SHOULD get fixed soon and give timelines on that. They are very good at communication and answer texts/use online inspection checklists. I will continue to bring my truck there in the future and highly recommend any first time RV/diesel truck owners they do the same.

I used this auto shop for years due to having an older vehicle and my extended warranty with the dealer being expired. My dad was a mechanic and used to do this for me but unfortunately passed away. I was stuck trying to find a local shop to help inspect my older vehicle for new issues and provide the same sense of trust. I’m so glad I found this place. They have always been easy to use. I love how I got a full work up of the vehicle with photos. Accepting and declining work was simple with the click of a button. I finally made the decision that the cost of repairs for the vehicle was not worth

I was referred to this Business by WNY Heroes. I was looking for a quality owned business who did great work and was honest with what needed to be done. Not to mention it was run by a Veteran as well. Seeing I am a veteran it was clear to me that this Business takes pride in their quality of work and professionalism at every level. As the owner of Buffalo Power Washing I bring my 5 trucks in to Amton for maintenance and repairs. Over the past 10 plus years I have never had an issue with any type of work that has been done. Everything is done in a timely, courteous and professional manner. I have even been quoted a price and then come in to pay only to find out that the bill was cheaper because he found my part at a cheaper price and "passed along the savings".! Trust me, this is the company that you hoped existed!
