Dr. Klein is a 1993 graduate of Texas A & M Veterinary School and is a native of the Helotes area. We offer Veterinary care for dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, cattle, pocket pets and some birds. Our priority is care and compassion at all times. Hooves & Paws practices up-to-date medicine in a family-oriented environment.
Originally from New Mexico, with over 45 years in the animal medical field working with Chimps, many other nonhuman primates, Big Cats, Domestic Cats and Dogs, Rodents, Birds, and Reptiles. Our resident "Crazy Cat Lady" has a zoo at home. Animals have been an intricate part of my life for as far back as I could remember.

I took my Yorkie here in 2019 to get his shots, while I was there we ended up waiting at least 30 minutes to be checked in because they said it was the first day of using a new software. Understandable, and not a big deal, fast forward to a year later, I moved to Florida and received a post card from them (see pic) saying my doggie was due for his shots, and the card listed his names and the shots he was due, I called them and asked them to send my dogs vet records to my new vet, they claimed they had no record of my dog being there, I said yes he was there and reminded her it was the same day

Just took our cat in (cat caught his tail in something and cut it...)... They took great care of him. Very caring. We have been going there for 20 years and have always been grateful for their compassionate care of our dogs and cats....Thanks to Dr Rasch and all!

I absolutely love Dr.Klein’s practice! It’s not only affordable but they love and care for your animals as it’s their own pet. My family and I always feel so welcomed. They have very beautiful horses you can interact with each visit! All of my animals come here (3dogs , 4 guinea pigs) and absolutely are never scared to come they always get really excited! My guinea pig Penelope passed away recently, and I had her cremated. They wrote me a very lovely letter giving there condolences. Absolutely love everyone who works here, never once have had a bad experience! Thank you guys for such wholesome
