In 1945, on a country road named Western Boulevard, Dr. Ralph Williams started Williams Animal Hospital. Later he partnered with Dr. Earl Knox and changed the name of the facility to Boulevard Animal Hospital. Dr. Danny Allen and Dr. Les Tremaine owned and operated the clinic from the 1970's to 1996 when Dr. Lora Evans became the sole owner.

She has always enjoyed working with animals.

I've dropped off my dog, a yellow labrador named Leo, to Boulevard Animal Hospital several times for boarding purposes. We used to go elsewhere for boarding, but we felt like they were nickel & diming us (charging for play time, charging extra if we picked him up after 11am, etc). So, we gave Boulevard Animal Hospital a try and boy, am I so grateful we did!
My dog is a rambunctious pup. Those aren't my words. The NYTimes, in our wedding announcement, literally referred to Leo as "rambunctious" -- and that is an understatement. He makes weird, loud noises, he barks, he pulls

This is a great place to take your animals! They take the extra time needed to make the pet and owner feel comfortable. Even with the pandemic and the doctors not being allowed to come out to your car, they… have been super helpful!
Dr.Silva has been my basset hound's vet all his life and she is amazing! Baloo loves the friendly staff and always come back to the car even happier than he was before going inside.
I don't know how they do it, but they make going to the doctor fun for him!

I required pinky, in a very weird situation.o was pinky , dog sitter, my friend tragically died in a car accident, a month ago. she went to Blvd. Animal twice. the 2nd time they x- rayed her and said she… needed to be rushed to NC State emergency operation that would cost between 2 and 4 k. it wasn't till I came home and rushed back to NC state. I'm not a professional vet. she didn't become pregnant on my watch. she had 3 puppies, with one that had died.

Horrible communication and piss poor customer service. Their north hills location is great. Looking forward to never using again and also highly not recommending them to folks looking for boarding or pet care. Plenty of other options in raleigh with similar services and better customer experiences, communication regarding care details, and pricing.

I'm not one to fly off of the handle and just post bad reviews (you can look at my history for that), but this truly hurt. While it's never fun to have to board your pets while you're out of town, you at least expect the pups to be well cared for and looked after- especially when they charge you $35/day/dog to take care of them. And we try to avoid boarding them whenever possible but we went out of town over the Thanksgiving holiday and had to find somewhere to look after our girls. We learned our lesson- we will never bring our dogs here again. My wife and I have boarded them here

I'd never had a pet before, but just brought home a puppy. This vet came recommended, so we took her for a quick checkup.
The vet technically did everything that they NEEDED to do during the visit. The doctor found a rash on my puppy's belly, and prescribed antibiotics. She also recommended preventatives for heartworm and ticks/fleas. Our puppy, besides having an itchy belly, was in perfect health at this point.
My fiance and I realized that the preventatives are marked up significantly at their office, and asked for written scripts instead. The technician and vet tried to talk us out

BEWARE this of this office!!! As I have meet locals, I am finding there have been many issues with Boulevard Animal Hospital.
I am currently visiting NC to help a senior with Alzheimer retain some dignity in the remaining time of her life at her own home and needed a vet to get my cat's shots up to date, inquire about his whining, and his eye. Naturally, it is hard to attend to every family member when dealing with an Alzheimer's patient and sometimes our beloved pets, spouses, etc...get overlooked. My cat sadly did get overlooked and his shots where a few months overdue, so I was frantic

I took my late cat to see Dr. Head last year. Dr. head was very thorough and even when things looked in the clear, he encouraged me to do some extra testing. We declined the testing because the other tests showed good results. Several months later our cat suddenly got very sick and we had to bring him in, knowing he might need to be put down. We were heartbroken and all crying. Dr. Head did a quiet, very thorough exam and very gently explained the situation and recommended to put the cat to sleep. He never once hinted "I told you so" though he could have because this was probably cancer

When your new pet gets sick, you get your first taste of what parenting a newborn is all about. That panic. What do I do? Where do I take them? Except with an animal you also add in.. how much is this going to cost me? am I going to have to up him down?
Thanks to some reviews I read on others sites, I was able to surmise B.A.H. was the place to take Syrah (my 6 mo old kitty). They took him in same day and called me within a few hours to let me know his probable diagnosis.
The doctor provided different treatment options at various price points and let me chose the best plan for me/Syrah. Much

This place is tops. I've been bringing my cats to the owner and chief doctor, Lora Evans, for many years. The clinic has been recently redecorated and looks great these days. She has several vets on staff, but I suggest you find a favorite and ask for them by name. Dr. Evans seems to know everything there is to know about cats and has brought a couple of ours back from the brink. They have a modern computer system and mail us reminders of upcoming shots, etc. regularly.
