Kate has been in the hair industry for over 8 years eventually leading her to open Spoleti Salon in 2017. Her vision was to bring South Austin a charming, stylish hair salon with highly trained artists. With a team this good, she definitely has accomplished that!

Oh my gosh, I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. I got my hair totally botched at a different salon, (it turned out a totally purple red when I just wanted to be closer to my natural ginger red hair. Pics below.) I emailed a ton of places to get it fixed and Spoleti was the only one to respond so I thought I'd give them a shot. Sara was absolutely amazing and nice through the whole process (and all my nervous questions haha) and she did exactly what I wanted done to my hair and exceeded all my expectations! McKailey is amazing! She's genuinely interested in giving you the style, color and long term or short term plan for you!! She's honest about treatments, gives suggestions with options and is a pleasure to chat with. Literally, my jaw dropped when I saw this final look. I wanted high contrast coloring and have naturally dark hair. McKailey suggested Bellami extensions and I couldn't be happier! Love love love Spoleti!! The salon is super clean, has a fun vibe, and everyone there is very welcoming. I highly recommend McKailey!! She is AMAZING!!! She did exactly what I wanted and my hair turned out perfect. Not only are her skills as a stylist excellent, but her personality is fantastic. She is so easy to talk to and really helped educate me on how to keep my hair healthy!

My daughter Sofia had her first haircut here around August 1st with Hannah and loved it! She's extra particular as her step sister that lives in Houston in a hair stylist and has only received haircuts by her, her whole life. Now that she lives here, I think she found her new salon! HOWEVER I tried this place out with Hannah and was truly disappointed with my haircut and experience. I went to Hannah just before my birthday trip to Vegas and had bad hair days the entire time. So bummed. She started off by saying "Do you want to wait for Kristin to do your hair?" I was confused

I don't normally write reviews but I feel like this salon deserves one! I had an appointment with Hannah for a cut and all over color and she completely revamped my hair. This is genuinely one of the best cuts I've ever gotten and I highly recommend!! As for the color, I normally box dye my hair and never get it professionally done, but after this experience I don't think I'll go back to my old ways. You can tell the quality and the richness of the color and my hair feels healthier than ever. Thank you to Hannah and Spoleti Salon!! :)

I asked for a full head of highlights with some dimension and layered cut to take out the of the weight of my hair. I have very thick hair. Although I had some bright pieces of blonde...I also got very streaky, yellow pieces and unblended highlights with many sections missing throughout my hair (especially under, which we discussed that we would take care) and chunks missing at the root. I've been going to Spoleti Salon for OVER a year! I was very nervous going to a new salon BUT the moment i walked into the salon i was greeted with happy eyes (COVID... masks... can't see faces).
Everyone is so friendly and kind. Gabby has taken my hair to another level! She knows exactly what i want every time. Everyone goes above and beyond for each client that walks in. I've recommended this salon to EVERYONE i know and will continue to do so!

First off let me say that I had been a client of Spoleti Salon & specifically Kate (owner) for over 4 years and this is my personal experience and opinion. Through that time, I've seen her work (on mine and my sons hair) really slip in terms of quality. Moreover, I feel like the overall customer experience has decreased significantly.

I haven't had any paid services performed, but during the ice storm of 2021, I had not had running water in 5 days, and they offered their community free hair washes! Their water heater wasn't working, but without them, work would have been much more uncomfortable. I had been snowed in to my apt complex for 5 days and without running water for 7 days. This salon went beyond to help anyone in need of a good wash. Thank you!

Taylor IS AMAZING!! I wish I could give her 10 stars!! She nailed my hair goals, and gave me the cutest bangs EVER. I showed her a picture and she got me to exactly what I wanted. She's talented, funny and amazing with scissors, what more could you want from your stylist?! I LOVE my hair, and I am sooooo happy I met Taylor. She's the BEST, and I cannot wait to come back!!!!!

I was DESPERATE to find a salon in Austin that specialized in color-corrections. I am new to Austin and finding a great salon is CHALLENGING to say the least but it's even harder when you are trying to find a salon to correct the mistakes made elsewhere. After researching and reading a bunch of reviews I saw that Spoleti Salon had a number of positive reviews and when talking to someone at the salon, I felt somewhat assured that I'd be able to get my horrific color corrected. I've been going to Kate for YEARS. We first met one another when Kate was working at a different south Austin salon, and I instantly fell in love with her impeccable skillset and passion for the artistry. As a cosmetologist teacher and licensed operator myself, I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my hair. Kate is truly one of a kind, and her growth potential is limitless. Gabby killed this chocolate brown color and cut! It's so much better than my natural brown hair and the cut is perfection! Usually when I get my hair cut shorter at other salons, the ends flare out, causing me to use heat with straightening or curling - but not with this texture! I highly recommend Spoleti Salon and Gabby, you'll be so happy with your experience!

I recently had a vivid color appointment with Gaby and she did not disappoint! She was friendly and really took the time to talk through what I wanted/was expecting especially since this was my first time going with a vivid color. I could not be happier with how my hair turned out and I can't recommend Gaby enough!!
Also, the salon does a great job of social distancing and spacing out the clients, requiring masks, taking temps when you walk in and has hand sanitizer available. I felt safe and will definitely be returning!

Salon owner, Kate, was attentive and welcoming. It was great to get a fresh cut. All salon professionals were socially distancing and wearing personal protection. I felt comfortable and relaxed.
**No blow drying at this time. Note the curly wet hair, but when it looks good wet, it looks even better dry.
Previous post: I fall more in love with my hair everyday! First time getting my hair colored since high school and I couldn't be happier! Daisy did an amazing full balayage, golden tones complimented my red hair beautifully.
