Say Lula has decided to go mobile and will be outfitting a vehicle to match the style of both previous locations and will create a safe space to keep our clients healthy and looking good. Say Lula will still be offering haircutting, coloring, extensions and styling by the talented and highly educated stylist and creator Lisa Telepman aka (Lula).

I have been seeing Lyz for years now for cuts and color. I Can't believe I have not left a review sooner! Lyz is a Master of her craft and incredibly professional. I always look forward to my appointments with her because she is friendly, funny, and always exceeds My expectations. I always leave in a great mood and feel beautiful.

I've had extensions for years before moving to San Diego. I searched for a year before I finally had a friend refer me to Lyz. I tried SO many salons and my extensions would fall out or they would not look blended.
Lyz is a rockstar! I've yet to loose an extension and my hair looks AMAZING!! It's blended perfectly and the color is fabulous! Her pricing is unbeatable and your getting top quality in every detail

This review is for a specific stylist at Say Lula, Vera Blatchley. Vera has been cutting my hair for over 2 years. By far the longest I've had one barber. I've alway kind of dreaded getting my hair cut. I don't know how to describe what I want and leave disappointed. Since Vera has been my barber I've not had that problem. She is easy to talk to and takes the time to know what her clients want and how to get your hair just right. I've always been satisfied with the quality of her work and her professionalism. If you're looking for a reliable barber I strongly recommend

My daughter purchased a Groupon for my birthday. I was not able to get an appointment until Aug 25th. The place is really cute. Everyone was friendly. There is a little help yourself beverage bar which included coffee or water. Jordan was really nice and she did my gel nails and pedicure. Another thing that is great, since the Groupon was such a hit and it was hard to get an appointment, Jordan reassured me that my other gel nail and pedicure that came with my coupon, she will honor even though it will expire on September 1st.

My stylist rents space at Say Lula and does hair twice a week. I've been seeing Emalyn for over a year now, and I'm glad I was able to find a new stylist after shopping around for years. Located in the heart of Mission Hills with all the great restaurants, eateries, and shops. A couple miles off the I-5 and super convenient as the salon has a dedicated parking lot for customers. Shares a lot with 2 other businesses, and I've never had a problem with parking.

[Area]: salon is super cute and clean looking. It's a small store located in the middle of the block so make sure you keep an eye out for the sign and there's parking in the back!
[Service]: I found this Jordan off Groupon and initially wasn't about to book an appointment with her. The day before my grad party I decided to text her to try and schedule and she was able to accommodate due to a cancel!

Say what? Say MICHAEL! Michael gives the BEST scalp massages and blowouts, period. Ever. I'd heard the rumors that Michael gave the best blowouts in town, and the rumors are true. I love, love, love what he did for my hair. My hair is pretty limp and fine, but Michael brought it back to life. Big, soft, beautiful waves! He's also incredibly gentle, and that was great for me because I have a tender scalp. The scalp massage was ahhhh-mazing, and the product line smells like heaven. From the way he treated me during the whole appointment - he made me feel like a queen!

I have been going to Leo for about three years. It's like one of those things that when you find a great spot, you can't see yourself going anywhere else. He's been amazing and is very talented. He really takes his time to cut your hair just the way you like it. However, ever since I've met him I've always said. Just do whatever you want, make it shorter and cleaner. He's always done something new and what he know would look good on me. I think it's good to just let go and let a professional do his job. It helps me learn new techniques and keeps an artist I inspired

Saturday's our mother daughter bonding.so if we get a chance we always go to Emalyn, she's really good and my daughter said she takes time with her and always ends up with cool colors. She is our hair color to go to now, plus she doesn't charge that much so even tho we have to drive far it's worth it. thanks Emalyn.

I have been to this salon three times. The first time was a Groupon. The other two times they gave me coupons for cut and color for $75.
Aimee cut my hair the last two times. The first time she didn't do much and the color didn't stick, but I liked the cut fine.
The second time I told her I wanted to keep the length, but to take as much as she needed to get rid of the dead ends. She told me that I should never tell a hair dresser that especially if I am planning on moving (which I had just mentioned). I told her not to take off more than 2 inches. In all, she cut about 4 or 5 inches

My hair was a nightmare. After an allergic reaction to some hair dye, and 13 inches of hair loss later, I decided to take to yelp to find a new hair stylist. I was at my wits end, and in tears daily after battling with the health of my hair for a year.
This is when I met Dylan at Say Lula's.
Right away, we figured out a strategy and created a hair care plan, and just like he promised, my hair recovery and regrowth was right on track. Now, my hair is healthier than ever, and it's growing again. In less than a year I've grown 7 inches of my hair back.

Great service, loved the decor:). My stylist was young and spunky, and knowledgable about my hair type and the products. She offered my beverages, and was engaged, but not overly smothering me as a newbie:).
I did use a Groupon, and added to the service, so with that, and a tip - I'd say I got a good deal, with excellent results. If you're into the fun, artsy environment, with stylish hairdressers, this is a great place to land:).

I am really happy with my experience. Rachel has made my hair so healthy! Everyone has complimented how great it looks :)
I used a groupon. I made my appointment online, which worked out really well. I used groupon because I've only been in San Diego for a year and I haven't been home in months - I needed a cut. Rachel was super friendly and I love my hair :) I will definitely be back!
