Supporting the greater Charlotte Community, Access Counseling & NeuroTherapy provides individual counseling, couples counseling, pre-marital counseling, Christian counseling, relationship counseling, marriage counseling and family counseling in a nonjudgmental, compassionate, safe and nurturing environment.

If you are looking for professional Charlotte counselors, this is the place for you. Access Counseling & NeuroTherapy is located in the Charlotte area, and serves Ballantyne, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and other surrounding areas. We strive to be the best charlotte counseling service available. Our professional counselors take a "whole-person" approach to therapy.
Services
Access therapists are professionally, clinically, and theologically trained counselors. Our Charlotte therapists recognize the potential in each and every client with whom they work, and they appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with their clients. We are also aware that even when we are growing in healthy ways, often we still have areas that fail to function as we would like.
Christian Counseling is, as defined by Tim Clinton in Caring For People God's Way, a triadic healing encounter with the living Christ, facilitated by a helper who assists this redemptive, healing process, helping another get unstuck and moving forward on the path to spiritual maturity and psycho-social-emotional health.
Treatments for depression can include psychotherapy, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which works to replace negative and unproductive thought patterns with more realistic and useful ones. Sometimes clients need medicine to help them with the process. We will work in conjunction with your medical provider to coordinate the best care possible.
Our brains are hardwired with a mechanism - an information processing system - for healing. This information processing system is designed to move any sort of emotional turmoil to a level of mental health - or adaptive resolution. After a disturbing experience, you think about it, talk about it, feel about it and mull it over trying to make sense of what happened.
Neuropsychotherapy is an integrative approach to therapy that takes into account the dynamic interplay between the mind, body, social interaction, and the environment on a person's well-being with a focus on neuroscientific research.

By understanding the mechanisms of our biology (in particular our neurology), the processes of our psychology, and the influences of our social interaction, we believe a holistic therapeutic approach to treatment can be formulated.

The neurofeedback counseling they provide has truly changed my life. This place believes in balance and nothing you’re going through is too much for them. I recommend Robert Lewinski as a counselor here, it can be expensive but you’re health is more important than any sum of money.

I have known Amarie for almost 3 years. If you need someone to help you with grief counseling or with help when life knocks you down, Amarie is the person to see.
I have never met anyone more dedicated to helping others with their problems than Amarie. She has truly been a Godsend for me. From day one, she put my mind at ease that it was a safe place where I could tell her anything. She has walked along side me and at times even cried with me and I am forever in her debt.

I don't want to sound dramatic, but the time I spent with Amarie has literally changed my life. She was so down-to-earth and practical. When I first visited, I knew I needed help dealing with some things, but I wasn't sure what "help" was really going to look like. It turns out, that was okay. I didn't need to have those answers. I just needed to show up. God used my sessions with Amarie to bring incredible breakthroughs in my life.

I know Amarie, Rob, and Darin on a personal level, as friends. All three are wonderful people... mature, good listeners, wise and encouraging! These three all demonstrate insight, an essential ingredient for a therapist. I have not had the pleasure of meeting the other therapists, but can make an educated guess as to their character, based on the ones I DO know! You won't go wrong with any of them! The professional credentials of the counselors at Access are impeccable and impressive--always growing in knowledge and skills within their field--always searching for the best way to help their clients

What next? As I stood alone at a very painful crossroad in my life, Access Christian Counseling served as both a solid and safe "next" step for me. Amarie is a faithful vehicle God uses to help the hurting and the healer collide. I humbly encourage anyone searching for sound biblical application delicately woven with cognitive therapy to take a first step in the direction of healing.
