He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Bertha Ferguson and his biological father Richard Leroy Roby. Rick was a welder for George Steel Fabricating for 14 years and had special interests in boating, fishing and cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends Rick leaves to mourn but cherish his memory his loving wife of 21.

On Oct. 11, 2021 my beautiful mother, Ms. Violet O. Ward Ridgeway, passed away at the age of 92. Our family completed all of our pre-planning with Preston Charles Funeral Home and had such a beautiful experience as we cared for our mothers end of life transition.

Preston Charles funeral home did an outstanding job providing support and service to my family after the passing of our loved one. Preston Charles funeral service was outstanding! During the bereavement of losing my mother the whole staff was so accommodating to the family’s needs. If Flowers were not right they made sure they corrected it. there was consistency of connecting of how the family is doing letting us know that they were there for us it was so Reassuring and kept us at peace knowing that they were there.
