The owner, Mickey Martin, has been in the food service industry for his entire career spanning over 30 years. Mickey has a diverse background of experience having lived in St. Thomas, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Smith Mountain Lake while working his way up from being a restaurant server, bartender, food and beverage manager, and ultimately Country Club General Manager.
Deciding it was time to go out on his own, he wanted to combine the best parts of all the places he's been. His vision to create a place for friends, family and neighbors to hang out with a glass of wine or cold beer and have a great meal has been brought to life in The Copper Kettle Co. Mickey recruited the incredibly talented Chef Sonny DiPaula from the Waterfront Country Club to be his executive chef.

Services
Jumbo chicken wings and drumettes with hot, medium, or mild buffalo sauce, or sweet and savory southwestern dry rub. Served with Bleu cheese or Ranch dressing. A large portion of hot-crispy French fries drizzled with olive oil, and seasoned with garlic, shaved Parmesan, salt and pepper. Chef's selection of premium cheeses and meats served with crackers, grapes, whole grain mustard, and preserves.

My wife and I had dinner at the Copper Kettle last evening. We found the staff very friendly and polite. Our server greeted us in a timely manner. We were served bread with butter while we waited for our entrees. Our dinners arrived at the table pretty quickly. The restaurant was busy and we know for a fact all the area restaurants are understaffed. So we are impressed by the level of service that staff provided. The wife had the Voodoo Pasta with shrimp and I selected the Shrimp and Grits. We found both dishes full of flavor and plenty of serviing. So much so we could not finish our meals. All

Tries to be a high end restaurant but misses the mark. Cloth napkins alone don't make a great restaurant. Just another restaurant in a strip mall. Food (fish) was overcooked and looked like they used old oil; breading overrode the flavor of the fish. In my experience, it's customary to serve a lemon wedge or 3 with fish. Just got a cup of tartar sauce. [If the server had returned before I finished my fish, I would have asked for lemon.] Portion sizes were good. Menus are on photocopied paper and are reused between diners. Not a good practice in these Covid days. Good selection of beer. Wife's salad

My wife and I absolutely loved our experience and The Copper Kettle - This was our first visit and the food and service were absolutely amazing. First time here and the atmosphere is the best at the lake. The bar area looked classy and had TVs and then the dining areas were quieter. Being picky, I would add some pictures or something on the walls rather than just bare paint. It was a little warm outside so we ate inside, but the views outside were fantastic. The little firepits and couches outside looked so welcoming. Prices were very fair too. The meatloaf was huge and the cocktails were well made. We had dinner at the Copper Kettle last evening. I ordered Shrimp Scampi from the Menu it says "Large shrimp sauteed with fresh garlic, lemon, butter, and white wine over angel hair  served with garlic bread" The 3 or 4 shrimp that came with the meal were small in size there was little or no Garlic taste to it but that could have been because there was an inch of water in the bottom of the plate. It was also suppose to be over Angle Hair pasta not the Linguini that was served. Service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Other meals at the table looked good,

Our most recent trip to The Copper Kettle did not disappoint! We finally got to dine in after ordering carry out a few times in 2020 due to COVID, and we were really impressed with how well the employees worked together to serve the guests. Not only did our server take good care of us, but a woman brought us dinner rolls, a gentleman brought us our appetizer and salads, and a different server (or possibly a food runner?) brought us our entrees. Do have to say this is one of the upper scale restaurants for area as mentioned in other reviews. The atmosphere is warm, staff are friendly, food is amazing, portions and large and pricing is fare.
Will return again as we just acquired a home on Lake.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. It did not disappoint! I got the fried green tomato BLT with onion rings. The onion rings were HUGE and they were delicious, but you only get about 4. My husband got the catfish platter and he said it was the best he's ever had. Our waitress was very attentive and did a great job! We will definitely be back!

We sat at an outdoor table with an umbrella for shade. The weather was perfect and the scenery was spectacular. We were seated immediately and were greeted by Jessica, our very friendly and attentive server. My husband got shrimp and grits; I got salmon. The food was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. We are new to the area and really hoping for good dining options. We weren't disappointed...the food (lots of choices, large portions), drink options and service were both great, ask for Brandon!
Our table had the pork loin, shrimp & grits, voodoo pasta w/shrimp and the meatloaf and everyone loved what they got. We will be back!

The food is wonderful! The SML burger was awesome, as well as the Cajun pasta with shrimp. My wife and I were visiting from WV for a 3 day weekend. The burger was so good we came back the next night!
The owner was so nice and greeted us like we were old friends. He found out that it was my wife's birthday and he had the waitress bring us a chocolate peanut butter cake. Everyone was very nice. We plan on going back next year!

had a very nice chargrilled flavor. I put it on top of my salad, which was a nice mixture of greens. I'm a bit of a salad snob, so I appreciated the fresh greens. Fries were a big hit. We topped it off with the Swiss chalet cheesecake. Also a big hit. My spouse, who is not a chocolate lover, said "it was a little bit of heaven."

They have a very wide menu from steak to wings, seafood,salads and pasta, including a nice selection of gluten free items which we had "The Mahi Dinner" and it's was delicious! Full bar and several draft beers on tap, also a nice selection of wines, awesome place to come and watch the sunset on the lake!!

Wonderful dinner overlooking the water at The Copper Kettle. Chef Sonny recommended any of the pasta specials. We asked if we could split the chicken parmesan and the lasagna and he said sure. Both were outstandingly delicious!
I understand the pork chop specials will be appearing on the new fall menu. Can't wait to come back for another enjoyable evening!
