For more than 45 years, over five generations, our focus has been to provide the very best for our families in their time of need. We have worked steadily to provide you with every possible comfort in the funeral home, and to help you make arrangements that pay tribute to your loved ones in ways that preserve cherished memories and create new ones.
And because nothing is more important than your peace of mind, we have constructed a private, on-site crematory at our Opossumtown Pike location, making us a full-service funeral home in Frederick County who can promise that your loved one never leaves our care. Doug has been a funeral director since 1973 and a licensed insurance agent since 1994.

Making your own funeral plans in advance is one of the most caring gifts you can give your family. Not only does it protect them from having to make difficult decisions in the future when they are grieving, it is your personal assurance that your wishes are carried out as you specify. When you sit down with us to pre-arrange, you make the big decisions and we help you with the details.
We appreciate the sacrifices made by each and every one of our veterans that afford us our freedoms, and therefore we do all we can to recognize, honor and pay respects to those who have served our country. At Stauffer Funeral Homes, our tribute begins when you first reach out to us. When you call to let us know about the loss of your loved one, please tell us if he or she was a veteran so that we can begin planning a Signature Veterans Tribute.
At Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., we understand how overwhelming it can be to even think about a funeral. And there are always so many questions. To make the process of getting answers a bit more convenient, we've created a series of short videos that give a glimpse into some of the topics that we get asked about most often.

Despite the great appearance for their services, the staff are incredibly rude. To the point of telling a group of us including the daughter of the deceased that we needed to move to the back of the room if we were going to mingle. I guess they forget that their job is to help people through a delicate time in their lives.
