Sandhurst Co-op seeks to provide an opportunity for children to learn, through play, about themselves, their physical world, and how. 0Toddlers + Pre-3's Teacher - Amy Kelsey, or Miss Amy as we call her, started her career as a pre-school teacher. Sandhurst Cooperative Preschool is an independent, non-profit entity run by skilled preschool teachers, parents + parent educators.
We offer three age-based classes, and mirror the Seattle Public Schools calendar, starting in September and ending in late May. We offer three age-based classes, and mirror the Seattle Public Schools calendar, starting in September and ending in late May.
0Toddlers + Pre-3's Teacher - Amy Kelsey, or Miss Amy as we call her, started her career as a pre-school teacher at Sandhurst Co-op in 2009 in our pre-3's class. Starting in the fall of 2015, she will also be at the helm of our Toddlers class. Amy was involved as a parent in the co-op system for seven years with her two daughters at Olympic Toddlers and University-Ravenna.
As a part of the North Seattle College Cooperative Preschool Network, each of our classes is assigned a Parent Education Instructor by the NSC Child + Family Education Division to advise teachers and help parents build parenting skills. Provide formal parent education for at least one hour each month at the monthly parent meeting.
Sandhurst Co-op's fundraising program is a part of our annual budgeted revenue that supports the PAC Scholarship Fund, and helps keeps tuition affordable for all members.
