JMK Housing is by far the WORST management company EVER. The property manager Josh Keimach has continuously failed to do his job since they bought the building in Mar Vista back in Nov of 2019. He has failed to respond to not only my needs as a tenant but everyone single tenant that is renting at the property in Mar Vista(12726 Pacific Ave). I have emailed and called him regarding maintenance issues, noise complaints, and basic housing needs. Each time he has dropped the ball due to his lack of response. He continues to ignore repeated phone calls, text messages, emails, etc. He is by far the worst

I very rarely write negative reviews but I just want to WARN PEOPLE who are thinking of renting with JMK. BEWARE! Lots of broken promises (Josh told us he would fix things that were undone such as paint jobs, baseboards, kitchen hood, replacing AC units just to name a few) He leaves YOU to deal with problems in unit like calling the gas company when there's a gas leak. We paid to move in but was surprised by an unready unit - people were literally working in the unit on move in day (we basically had our whole life in a U-haul truck while we waited for workers in the unit) this went on for

Fair warning to anyone considering moving into any of their properties! This company is the WORST. Specifically Josh - a deadbeat "manager." Disregards tenant needs. Doesn't answer urgent phone calls, will reply to texts days later if at all. Online portal for maintenance requests is useless. Was taken advantage of to move into an unfinished apartment and now deal with costly day-to-day issues in the unit because of the abandonment.

Sadly as a tenant I haven't had the best experience with this company. Since taking over my building my trash has not been picked up, and they refuse to give me an answer on whether I will get my security deposit back since our building has changed management companies. Also, in a meeting with one of their representatives I asked specific questions about our property, trash, and security deposits and all he did was google all of my questions and ask me to go over a 100 page PDF with him. I hope to update this review, but for now this is where I'm at. :-(

Renters Beware!! This company will gladly accept your "non refundable" application fees, but won't do anything with your application. Credit was never ran, never received a follow up call as the website stated, and "Josh" was the epitome of unprofessionalism to say the least. Never returned my calls, emails, or texts after he took my fees. Go do business with a real company instead of these money hungry pieces of crap.

Bottom feeders. They contract with shady owners for what I'm sure are bargain basement prices to do nothing (at best) or shady things (at worst).
Examples:
1. I had a termite infestation and was forced to move out for 70 days, they were too busy to take care of it.
2. We had homeless people sleeping in the laundry room for months.
3. We had a wasp nest that wasn't removed for months.
4. When my neighbor moved in, they gave him the keys to all the apartments in the building so he can use the one for his apartment. Imagine that!

Sadly I had to move out of this apt! I really loved my unit and enjoyed all the people in the building. It was like a small extended family. I miss it so much already. Beautiful unit and very historic architecture! Josh was always helpful and when I had broken my ankle and couldn't work, Josh was very kind in letting me get caught up in my rent once I started working again. I only moved out because of finances. My move out went without any problems and I received my full security deposit back very quickly. Noam was always helpful if I had any problems as well. I'll def miss this place

First of all I move to one of their apartments, and told me the backyard was going to be remodeled, I stayed for 18 months and even the city went to inspect the building and put a warning on how dirty that backyard was.
Secondly, these people only returned me a partial of my rental deposit. I notice that was not the correct number and advise them they need to send me the $ 500 outstanding. Up to date I haven't received it. JMK send me a tracking number, and Postal office returned the envelope, as they address was wrong. Now JMK is saying is not their fault and that they are trying to fix

They deleted the review my father posted. They absolutely should not under any circumstances have that second star. They don't even deserve the one they're given by default but alas we can't vote zero on Yelp yet. JMK is terrible run the other way and do not be fooled by their "cute sunny apartment" descriptions.

Amazing !!!! Josh literally saved us ! We had an apartment fire (me and my dog nalu who was rescued from the fire and given Cpr) and while nalu was in the hospital I was online at the hotel looking for a new apartment . I spoke with josh that morning . I explained my situation and he agreeed to meet us the next afternoon. So after I picked up nalu from the hospital we went to the bank got our statements and saw the apartment ! We loved it ! THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY AND SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED. ITS THE REGINA GEORGE OF real estate. Noam sucks and so does Diane, "the manger of the company", they treated me like I was 5 years old. Very unprofessional. I broke my lease because of cigarette smoking in the building and I was told this was a non smoking building. They threatened me telling me I have to pay them 30k to get out of my lease. I got a lawyer.

I rented a JMK managed unit in West Hollywood for a little over a year. I never had any issues and really had an overall positive experience. I dealt with Josh directly when renting the unit and found him to be incredibly helpful. From the time of my first viewing to the day I moved out, all of my interactions were very pleasant and the team at JMK always responded to my inquiries in a timely manner. I would definitely rent from them again!

I'm guess that most people leave negative reviews for management companies because it wouldn't occur to them to leave one when they are simply doing their jobs quickly and professionally. Which makes sense- but also I didn't either. I came to Yelp to review JMK because it was the most seamless and easy management company I've ever rented from and they went above and beyond in my opinion as a property management company. They have a 24 hour online portal to repost any maintainer needs, and they always get back to you the next day and then follow up as well.. even one of the owners

I don't even know where to begin with this incredibly incompetent "team".
-Water shut off MULTIPLE times whenever they need to for construction with absolutely no notice.
-Electrical problems to the point of, any strong winds & the power waivers in & out for hours on end.
-Gas shut off MULTIPLE times whenever they need to for construction with absolutely no notice.
-Management will enter apartment any time they feel it fit. No notice, & the VERY few times there has been a notice, they will never show up on time, or at all- for whatever it is they need to access within

I was referred to them by a friend and coworker who had looked at the same apartment that I found online. She said that Josh was super helpful and had an overall good experience. The only reason why she didn't rent from that property was because it was too small for both her and her boyfriend. They're studio apartments. So by word of mouth I already felt at ease, we all know how stressful it can be trying to get a place.

Josh and his team of incompetent idiots... where to start? Throughout the two years I have been dealing with them I've never encountered so many problems with any management ever. They have trespass my property several times with no permission, they have shut down water without notice, had construction workers doing repairs without notice and city permit and the list goes on and on.
They never send out a proper 24hrs notice to tenants, they just send you emails. I don't understand how this company stays in business or why anyone would let them handle their property.

JMK Real Estate doesn't seem professional. I've been wanting to rent a studio since it became listed (mid September, it is now mid October), and I haven't heard back from them. I was shown the apartment by the current tenant.. but before I was going to apply I had a few more questions for the management company. I called at least twice a day for an entire week and left voicemails, no response. I called their office several times this week because it shows that it's still available on their website and no one has gotten back to me. I will now be renting from John Aaroe Group
