Spire School is our all-weather, forest preschool that meets September through June. Space is available in our TK class for the 2021-22 school year and we are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis. As an introduction to our program philosophy, Chickadee Toddler and Family Class provides a foundation for early discoveries in nature. Parks Plus Creation educators provide a safe, welcoming space for children and caregivers to develop a positive connection with nature through social connections and sensory exploration.

Services
Ilana and Megan, the founders and owners of Parks Plus Creation, met in 2011 at a local preschool in San Francisco, where they taught together for two years. During this time, they led their preschool class on weekly adventures to the Presidio. This is where they discovered the extraordinary benefits of uninterrupted time spent outside.
We believe that all children, in a safe, nurturing environment, have the capacity to learn and develop through play, sensory experiences and exploration.
We empower each child to be a creative, competent, and curious explorer through our focus on collaborative learning, whole child development, sensory explorations, social and emotional development, care for nature and an overall understanding of the importance of building, not only kindergarten readiness skills, but life skills.

Spire School, named by two children who were among the first to join our program, is our San Francisco forest preschool. Spire School is an all weather school, with drop off and pick up locations outdoors. Enrollment in Spire School is determined by age. Schedules & ages noted below are for the 2021-22 school year.
We are currently accepting applications for our TK class for the 2021-22 school year. For 2022-23 school year inquiries for all class groups, please email us to be added to our interest list; we will have more details to share later this fall regarding tours and our application process.
Spire School helps children develop skills they will need in elementary school and beyond! We are confident that children who attend forest school during their preschool years can thrive in diverse classroom environments. 2015-16 was Spire School's first year. Each year since, we've sent Spire School graduates off to new adventures at public, parochial, independent/private and charter elementary schools in the Bay Area.
