Passion is lifted from the earth itself by the muddy hands of the young; it travels along grass-stained sleeves to the heart. If we are going to save environmentalism and the environment, we must also save an endangered indicator species: the child in nature. Meredith Bunyard is a wonderful caregiver.

She is incredibly knowledgeable of early childhood education including developmental milestones, social interaction, outdoor play, and the environment. My son has an amazing time playing in Golden Gate Park climbing trees, digging in the dirt, and just generally enjoying nature. He comes home covered in dirt and brimming with stories about his day.
Services
Meredith Bunyard, the founder of Forest Play Preschool, a young city kid once dreamed of fusing her passion for environmentalism and early childhood education. Believing that fundamental change starts with our children and that if we are going to leave a planet for our children to grow up in, we must also help to nurture their connection and foster their care of the earth.
We believe each child is an individual capable of taking an active role in his or her learning. Children can expand beyond their learning comfort zones in learning environments where they feel loved, cared for, safe, and trusting.

As they encounter new ways to explore their world both alone and with others, they have opportunity to build confidence, bond in everlasting friendships, and develop a deep love of learning, Subsequently these experiences become the foundation of their life-long educational journey.

PLAY is an in home preschool based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and Meredith, the director, is absolutely wonderful. She has created a loving, nurturing and fun environment in which our son has thrived. Under Meredith's guidance and care, and in the company of all the great kiddos she carefully brought into her home, we have witnessed our son learning and growing so much. Our son loves her and we do to, and the only reason we're leaving is that we're moving out of town. If we could bring Meredith with us we would.
