Pacific Primary School
Pacific Primary was founded in 1974, by a group of parents and Mary Nordland Bodo. A Board of Directors was elected and funds were raised from foundations, parents and other interested parties enabling the school to acquire and remodel the site at 1500 Grove Street.

The immeasurable cooperative effort by staff and parents that turned their goals into a reality, set the precedent for the supportive and cohesive community that still surrounds the school.Parents continue to actively support the school by fundraising, maintaining the school's physical plant and are welcome in the classroom and on field trips.
Services
We believe that our number one priority is creating a "childhood" for each child that is filled with discovery, play, love of learning and connections with others. Our teachers' skill, dedication and knowledge are what create the exceptional learning environment at Pacific Primary. Children feel respected and they respect their teachers in return.
Pacific Primary provides an exceptional and nurturing learning environment for young children. The school makes use of a variety of educational approaches with the goal of achieving deep and meaningful learning. The curriculum includes: learning through hands-on exploration and play, expressive arts, and teacher and child-inspired work.
Pacific Primary provides an exceptional learning environment that supports the whole child and places the needs of the children first. Emotional - the staff helps children understand their emotions and find acceptable ways to express them. The staff is skilled in positive discipline techniques and appropriate limit-setting.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion have always been at the heart of Pacific Primary School's mission. Since its inception in 1974, our school has welcomed families and educators from different backgrounds into a community in which everyone's voices are valued and weave our social fabric. At this point in our country's history, there have been too many examples of racism, bigotry and exclusion.
Holidays and celebrations provide an opportunity to celebrate the values and traditions of our Pacific Primary community. Celebrations are secular, developmentally appropriate, anti-bias and anti-commercial. Many of these celebrations are school-wide events, but some are celebrated uniquely in the individual classrooms.
