I have used Great Clips for most of my haircuts, but after going to R&R never again. They had such great service as soon as I walked in. They did an excellent job on both my hair and my beard. It really felt like they know what they are doing. So if you ever need a haircut or a beard trim. I would recommended R&R 100% of the time.

First time coming to a barbershop in town. I’m not going anywhere else. Absolutely loved the experience and my top notch haircut. The place is very welcoming and Rafael is probably one of the nicest persons I’ve met since I got here. The professionalism and attention to detail are above and beyond. The great environment and experienced personnel that work here tells you a lot about the solid foundation it has been established for many years. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. IGNORE THE FAKE GOOD REVIEWS THEY ARE FAKE. HE PROBABLY DELETS THE BAD COMMENTS!!!!!! Rafeal the owner doesn’t have much knowledge on locs. He doesn’t do a good job retwisting the hair. He doesn’t part the hair properly. These pics are 5 mins after I walked out his saloon imagine how it’s gonna look in a week.

Emily did a great job with my hair. She went into detail about the products she was using, and she gave me hair tips. I was nervous about dyeing and cutting my hair, but she Made the process much easier.My hair turned out exactly the color i wanted, the layer & cut was cute as well. Also not as expensive as most salons. I will be going back!

I walked in this barbershop and left very unhappy, that's the best way I can describe my experience here. This babershop looked great honestly, but a barbershop is all about the haircut at the end of the day. I sat down at a chair with a lady that had Pink hair, if I remember correctly and got up with a haircut nothing close to what I asked for. My line up is crooked, and the "fade" is most definitely wrong. I asked for a drop fade and got Something else, not sure how to describe the haircut but it's not at all what I wanted. Visiting from out of town and stopped here on a whim. My husband was long overdue for a haircut and trim. Rafael Coleman (barber) addressed the style/ fade that we wanted and without hesitation started the trimmers. I have never seen my husband look so handsome and sexy in the past 11 years! Rafael nailed it! He didn't even have to go back over or retouch anything- perfect shave and trim. My husband said it's definitely one of his best barber experiences. You won't be disappointed and neither will your partner!!

I've been here twice and I find the quality of the haircut is good. Not great though.
I found that on both instances that the level of customer service needs to be improved if they want repeat or new customers. Specially for a new customer walking in the door.
Just a tip to the business - the customer should not be looked as an interruption but an opportunity.

I was in town for nursing conference and found this place a 15 min walk away in the mall.
Janice did a great job and calmed my fears of cutting my hair in the mall at a barber. She is smart and I was surprised how it looked after just 1.5 inches and layers.
She used great smelling natural products in my hair I'm going to look good heading home, should have gone before the conference.
My below ans after same day is below. No color it just looks different because it is healthy.

Update: although I was unhappy with my shave, the manager did give me a refund after some arguing. Updating my review to two stars only because the manager ended up being reasonable.
I came in on Sunday for a haircut and beard trim, but after being forced to wait 30 minutes past my appointment, settled for a beard trim only. The barber was was super slow and way too aggressive with his razor, even when I specifically asked for him to be careful on my neck. The cherry on top was the beard filler he put on me that made me look like I painted my face.

It's really tough to find people in Indianapolis who do natural hair and dreads at a high level. Rafael is an extremely versatile hair artist who really takes pride in what he does. His prices are competitive and if he says he can get you looking right, trust him. Very happy with the way my dreads were done and I'll recommend him to anyone who's looking for a hair artist.
