We have lived here for over a month and we all love it! The neighborhood is great, the grounds are beautiful and our 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious. Carlita, who works in the leasing office, has been friendly/helpful from the very first call I made inquiring on the apartments to now! She was very quick to get maintenance out to my unit to fix a small issue. The maintenance guy was also helpful and nice.

The Retreat Apartments have been incredible this past year. My girlfriend and I rented a 1 bedroom apartment. The office staff (Nicole and Nikol) have been awesome. They are always available and very friendly. The maintenance staff are incredible as well, the property is well maintained, but when you do need a work order, it is quickly addressed and fixe .
Our whole year there and we had no issues with loud neighbors or parking problem you see with other apartments. They are tucked back and along the river. We never had any problems with vehicle prowling and compared to other complexes, this one

I lived in The Retreat in Sumner in 2017 and have nothing but good things to say about it. The apartments have really great appliances, everything looks really neat and in flawless condition. It is a really beautiful place to live, not to mention the location that is stunning, right in front of the Puyallup river. All apartments have an amazing view of the river. Also, the manager is a sweetheart. She is super helpful, kind and competente. I remember that I needed her help once with mail that got lost and she went above and beyond to help me find it. Without a doubt, she is the best manager I have

Worst living experience of my life. It’s a “none smoking apartment” but everyone smokes cigarettes causing the inside of the apartments to constantly smell like smoke. There is also rats outside and inside! Just before I left there was a needle in my front lawn and the Managment did nothing about it. Would not recommend these apartments to anyone.

The pictures looked beautiful off the website but they definitely are just for show. We first moved into a one bedroom apartment . Things were alright till we moved out and found a huge spot of MOLD in our BEDROOM. Had to throw tons of things out. We then transferred to a two bedroom because I was pregnant. They said we had all new appliances but one of our burns on our stove didn’t work and our freezer never worked. Counters were falling apart and doors to cabinets never were on correctly. The shower had mold growing on it also. Sketchy people always walking around checking out our cars parked

If you’re looking for an apartment where you can just decompress once you come home The Retreat is for your.
All of the one and large two bedrooms all have views of the Puyallup river flowing by. During the season you can walk out your sliding glass door and catch a Salmon.
Our smaller two bedroom and three bedroom apartments give you more of a rambler/duplex feel with some having built in backyards.
Don’t forget to check out our two bedroom one and a half bath townhouse.
Oh ya we also have bunnies 🐰

I have lived at the Retreat for 3 years and have just resigned for another 2. The property is beautiful with the river that I can see from my back porch (which is massive! 100sq ft). This place combines untouched nature with serene living and excelled at it. The management actually cares about all of their tenants, and Nicole the manager knows me by name and greets me every time I see her. The Retreat is truly a a getaway where I live!

I had the pleasure of going in and touring the beautiful complex with the most awesome staff. Nikol and Nicole were both very welcoming and upbeat and happy. It's a breath of fresh air to see such a nice couple of people that look and act like they both love their jobs, truly.
I toured two different apartments that lined the river and I would have chosen either. I would definitely rent here and will refer all my friends here.

We are going on our second year here and absolutely love it. Wildlife all over, geese, rabbits, deer, ducks and an abundance of birds.
They keep the area well maintained cleaning daily for any garbage that might have found it's way to the common grounds. They are right on the river so some of the apartments have a water view. One other thing that is nice is that they keep op on the garbage dumpsters so they are not overflowing onto the ground. The office staff are very accommodating and if you have any issues they are ontop of it. The walls are fairly good on sound, though you will here the

The Retreat Apartments are amazing. I’ve lived here for about 7 years; it’s quiet, safe, the office and maintenance staff are friendly, and the location (near the freeway) couldn’t be better. Also it’s right on the river and there is a walking trail behind the property! I highly encourage anyone to take a look at these apartments before looking elsewhere.

Don't even bother moving here. Ever since there is a new Management team (Nicole and another woman) this place is a perfect resemblance of them... Trashy! Work orders aren't getting done, rats are everywhere( including inside your appartment.. they are eating through the wall) The pictures look great, but are heavily altered. For the price range you can definitely find something better.

I Can/Will Only Speak From My Personal Experience: The Entire Staff(Manager, Supervisor & Maintenance) Have All Been "Excellent" From The 1st Day I Came To Inquire. Their Very Professional, Yet Very Personable At The Same Time (A Rare Quality To Experience These Days). I Enjoy Living Here, Not To Mention The Office Has "Great Free Snacks'' (LOL)
