Michael literally grew up in the restaurant business. He is 2nd generation owner of Silvio's. He worked for his father since the day his dad opened up in August of 1969 and has been the owner since 1994. He is a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant and a community leader. He has been honored by many groups of the years for his generosity to the community that he has been a part of for so many years.

This review is for the dinner entrees haven't had the pizza in a while, although I recall it as being good.
The apps and entrees here at this long time, neighborhood place, are good and fulfill a niche in the restaurant space. The service is good and the modest pricing must be taken into account. The meals themselves are good overall (but not better than that) in my opinion. Some dishes were very well liked, others more mediocre. Personally I prefer their chicken dishes, but you must like white meat, even the chicken cacciatore (traditionally served meat on the bone and including dark meat) is

The food was wonderful. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our group had the chicken marsala (flavorful, covered in easily a half-pound of mushrooms), the chicken parm (a standard in any Italian restaurant but well-made and tasty) and Linguine Forense (linguine covered with shrimp, olives, and capers with red sauce that was amazing and different from the usual). Even the salad was great! The collection of bread choices was excellent and plentiful. The only thing that was better than the food was the service. The waitress was pleasant, attentive to our needs, made suggestions to cost effectiveness
