Motion Fitness Club supports our community heroes in the law enforcement, Nurses, Doctors, Fire Fighters, Rescue Squat Unit, Military personnel and Veterans by offering a 30% membership discount. Also, school teachers get a 20% membership discount. Proper ID must be presented to take advantage of this savings. Despite proof of payment in full for a year while on medical freeze, the new ownership reneged on the agreement and then tried to charge me a second annual fee when I had 8 months left on my first year contract.

Extremely rude attitude ! This place should be closed down. I was there simply to have a tour and was asked for my personal information, which I denied to give. Then the “big guy” who was in charge started ranting me and giving me a full loud discourse on why it was their “policy” to have that information, why they were still open while NYSC was closed (there was only 1 car in their lot), etc. I was denied the tour, but even if he had given it, I would never join this club and I don’t recommend anybody to join. Worst treatment I ever saw !! The guy should be given a rudimentary course

Horrible owner ! I wish I could give zero star. Owner’s behavior very rude and when I asked for my $180 refund . He simply
canceled my membership without my consent and tried to throw me out of the gym. He didn’t refund me and threaten to call the cops to throw me out of the gym.

Going to Motion Fitness Club in Millburn is hands down the best choice I’ve made. The owner is awesome and is always around to greet you with a warm smile and hello. They also have a friendly team who makes me actually want to go train. The gym is always clean, as the staff takes the cleanliness seriously especially during this Covid time. I look forward to walking through the doors and always feel amazing when I leave. I 100% recommend this gym!
Bonus: where its located, its around Trader Joe’s so it makes it super easy to pick up healthy, delicious ingredients right after your workout.

I have been going to this gym for a couple months now and this has been one of the best gym experiences I have had. Other gyms tend to be a lot louder and more crowded for my liking. This on the other hand feels very private and comfortable, they're clean, they respect social distancing so you don't have to worry about getting sick or anything. If you want more of a private feeling gym this is the gym for you and I totally recommend it!!

I’m a member for three years now. If you are looking for a quiet, non-crowded, social distance (mainly because of COVID), unintimidated environment to workout, this is the gym for you. The gym is clean, Machine/equipment are also available, plentiful parking, located next to a supermarket, so I make eating healthy/shopping a little easier after a workout. The gyms offer various classes (such as Bootcamp, Zumba, challenges, etc.) The staff is friendly and welcoming. If you are looking to improve your health and be comfortable, this is the right gym!!

This is an organization that does not respect privacy, or people. I called one time to inquire about their service, and since then am blanketed by texts and emails about their promotions - several per day. I have clicked the unsubscribe button at the bottom of their emails and texted STOP to their texts, but they do not stop. I have called their office four different times and asked to be removed from their lists, and my calls were dropped, people promised to remove me from the list and didn't, and then when I finally asked to speak to the manager, he said that their emails and texts work

I gave this gym a call because a friend and I just moved to town and wanted to get some pricing from local gyms. Motion was about the third gym I called and by far the most unprofessional and flat out rude.
I asked the gentleman who answered the phone what their monthly membership pricing was for a general membership and he basically had no idea what to say eventually getting to, “Sorry I can’t tell you that over the phone. You’re going to have to come in.”
I told him that I really didn’t feel comfortable having to come to the gym with COVID to just get a price, when I have no idea

Once you give this club your email or phone number, they will email and text you forever. It is nearly impossible to come off their list, and when you finally do, after a month or so you are re-added. It's illegal, and an invasion of privacy. The worst part is that when you call them and try to explain the problem, they insist that their systems work well and are very roud. Unless you want to be in their system forever, be careful about giving them your details.

My moms been trying to cancel her membership during the pandemic as she is elderly and high risk. The owner sent her name to collections and I’ve been calling for last 2 months weekly and the owner always seems to be “busy” and unable to call me back. Super unprofessional unreasonable wouldn’t recommend this type of service to anybody.

Being spammed by motion fitness club for about a year now via email and text. Never agreed to be on their mailing list and besides, I don't live in Jersey anymore. Spoke to 3 representatives over the phone, and emailed the club 3 times to explain, asked1 to be removed from their mailing list. Still got 2 texts today.

Did a two day trial. It's a very basic, slightly dated gym but clean and quiet. Went to sign up today and the membership guy was so unhelpful and hostile that I got up and left. Sorry trying to spend my money here was an inconvenience! If that's the treatment before you even sign up, then I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I have been a member of Motion Fitness Club since its inception. Each year the club has updated the equipment (this year we got new TVs), added new types of machines (slides, etc.) and added classes depending on the latest fitness trend. I especially love the barre class with Nerissa and the zumba class with Eileen. My friends rave about the spin classes. Whenever I've had a problem, I've spoken with the owner, Myles, who is very responsive and resolves the issue immediately. The gym is spotless with lots of amenities in the locker rooms and everything in excellent condition (recently

I think it is a decent gym for Millburn residents (I also workout at Equinox in the city but Equinox is not a fair comparison).
I had a billing issue which the billing staff dealt in an unfriendly way but the owner and their member adviser took care of the issue in a friendly and professional manner so full marks to them.
The gym and lockers are clean, staff is friendly and best part is baby sitter on Saturday mornings where one can work out while the kids are busying doing their own thing at the play room in the gym. Also, most people who come to the gym seem normal and friendly.
I guess it

Looks like nothing has changed... 5 years ago I walked in with my stepdaughter to look around. The person who greeted us asked me "are you together?, to which I replied "she's my stepdaughter". He then condescendingly said "Are you TOGETHER?" I could see right then what we'd be in for if we joined. Whether the greeter was a business owner with bad skills or someone who never should have been hired didn't matter to us, we didn't want to have to see this guy everytime we went to workout. Owner is very cheap and would prefer to lose a customer than be flexible or slightly accomodating. Mr. Berg does not honor any accomodations made by his own membership staff (guest passes, bodyfat readings, after hour exceptions) and resorts to condescendion and a defensive tone when confronted about his unclear policies. There is such a "he said/she said" culture created as a result of the nondescript membership literature, and it is impossible trying to reason with the new manager or the owner himself. Mr. Berg uses self-aggrandization and argumentative dialogue when responding to

Avoid this gym because of the arrogant attitude of the owner and the inflexibility in the way it conducts its business.
Be very wary of leaving your credit card on file for automatic payments. They have a very strict cancellation policy with zero tolerance. The way they calculate the contracts is a bit "slight of hand", so you really have no idea how much you are being billed and for what period.

Becoming a member at Motion was my first jump into gym membership. I was nervous at first, but it was so worth it.
Motion has a wide variety of classes, which keep me motivated. Though I can't personally afford a personal trainer, I can learn a lot from their highly qualified trainers within the classroom settings. I particularly enjoy Zumba, Strength Circuit, and Boot Camp. I have also tried Spin and enjoyed that.
Not only are there many classes to choose from, but many different times. When I was working early, I could catch a super early class. Now, that I work later, I can catch

I give it four stars because individually it has everything I need. The lockers are a bit small, but they get the job done. The restrooms, showers and steam room are always clean. The gym has all the necessary items to put you back into shape. The people that go there mind there own business and the gym always has just the right amount of people and is never crammed. I get a mini lifetime feeling without the people from lifetime. Monthly, it is not to bad of a fee, for what it offers, so take advantage of what they have to offer. The people that work there are pretty cool at the front desk

I have severe asthma and was totally disgusted by the fact that there are animals roaming around freely at this gym. It is unsanitary and potentially a health risk for people like myself with asthma and allergies.
The machines are much older than I expected, especially for a gym in such a nice area. Overall the feel I got was dirty. Not to mention I overheard the manager? Owner? SCREAMING at multiple employees. Very distracting and inappropriate. I want a calm clean environment to work out in, and this was anything but.
Motivating myself to go to the gym is difficult enough, but I never went

After being a member of Motion Fitness for years I decided to leave. There are many reasons why but I will highlight a few.
First, this gym does not believe in A/C. After a short warm up you will be covered in sweat and there are no fans or places to cool yourself down.
Second, SANITATION! They have workers that go around cleaning the gym every once and awhile but there are no disinfecting sprays for gym members to use to wipe down the equipment after they use it. Working out with everyone's sweat on the same machine is kind of disheartening.
Third, customers come last. There is a sign
